Wendy’s Co. says disruptions in the beef supply caused by the coronavirus pandemic have had an impact on its menu, with some items available only on a limited basis.
“It is widely known that beef suppliers across North America are currently facing production challenges,” the quick-service restaurant said in a statement sent to MarketWatch. “
We continue to supply hamburgers to all of our restaurants, with deliveries two or three times a week, which is consistent with normal delivery schedules. However, some of our menu items may be temporarily limited at some restaurants in this current environment. We’re working diligently to minimize the impact to our customers and restaurants, and continue to work with our supplier partners to monitor this closely.” More

Who the fuck goes to buy burgers from drive through “Cough Cough” when so many people come into contact with your food?
Also, everyone seems to have gone nuts buying flour to make their own bread up here. No flour on the shelves but tons of breads. As a result my grocery store is drastically reducing bread prices. 2 for 1 etc.
I’m home grilling burgers at least 5 times a week and saving a fortune. Plus I can choke a long neck instead of watered down sugar drinks.

This is stupid. Farmers are killing animals and plowing under crops. Companies have scheduled everything for JIT ( “just in time delivery”) to save costs so they have nothing in warehouses. Very little bread here, sometimes no milk or eggs and meat is definitely in short supply. And of course still no TP. Remember when people were making fun of Venezuela for no TP? There’s your karma.
