Bernie Sanders Supporter Joe Rogan Is in NYT’s Crosshairs For Having Independent Thoughts

For the record, I don’t get Joe Rogan’s success.

When I listen to his podcasts he seems smug, and for no apparent reason. He has the intellectualism of a stoner sitting around a campfire contemplating the civilization they make live in the dirt of his fingernails.

NY Times Files Snotty 5000-Word Takedown of Joe Rogan:

The front of the Sunday Business section of the New York Times featured a nearly 5,000-word profile by Matt Flegenheimer of podcaster Joe Rogan: “Joe Rogan Is Too Big To Cancel – His success lies in making audiences feel as if they’re in on something subversive.”

Rogan, whose hugely popular podcast is now hosted on the music streaming service Spotify, is known for his wide range of interviewees from all parts of the culture and political spectrum. He was a supporter of left-wing candidate Bernie Sanders. Yet Rogan’s mocking of cancel culture, self-righteous Hollywood, the pro-Biden media and other liberal sacred cows have put him in the crosshairs of the Very Online left.

Even the Times’ headline comes across as wishful thinking, as if it really is on their minds to bring Rogan down for the thoughtcrimes he is getting away with.

  1. Allow Jordon Peterson to explain why Rogan is so successful;

    I like Rogan because he introduces me to folks and their works that I should know about. Yeah, he does a lot of comics that really don’t interest me, but here is just a short sampling of people that I got exposed to courtesy of Rogan; Peterson, Tim Pool, Eric Weinstein, Dr. Peter Attia,Sam Harris, David Goggins, and James Lindsey.

    Speaking Of Lindsey, there is a shot Rogan clip that everyone should watch exposing the hypocrisy of academia. He and his buddy Peter Boghossian wrote several scientific studies that got peer reviewed and published, studies that were total bullshit, made up crap that pandered to the woke community, utterly hilarious stuff;

  2. The far Left is like a continuous shark attack on a bleeding whale. In their frenzy, other sharks in the attack get bitten and bleed thus perpetuating the frenzy. They will consume the whale and any bleeding comrade. Apparently “rogan” got in the way of a biger sharks bite. Who cares, let them eat each other, the sooner the better.

  3. Anyone who supports Bernie Sanders isn’t anyone I spend my time listening to. I know there’s intellectuals out there that hang with Rogan like Lex Fridman, and Eric Weistein. His brother Bret Weinstein is making his mark with his findings on the covid vaccine. I found Lex Fridman on my own and Rogan just happened to be a part of Fridman’s podcast. If anyone likes history, Dan Carlin is your guy, he’s hardcore.

  4. Joe Rogan markets himself as a likable guy – – everything to everybody. He sticks his finger in the wind to see which way it is blowing. However the winds are now blowing only two ways and like the rest of us he will have to make a decision.

  5. Joe Rogan is what Ben Shapiro would be like if Ben smoked weed. Yes, very smug. And just like Ben, you don’t listen for the host, you only listen depending on who the guest is.

  6. I think Joe is wrong about a lot of stuff, but he seems like a decent guy who’s at least willing to give ideas he doesn’t subscribe to a civil and rational discussion.
