When my mother had Alzheimer’s (died in 2019 before all of this shit…thankfully), I did everything to ELMINATE her responsibilities, demands placed on her, things she needed to think about/worry about. THAT is what a loving caregiver does, as the brain is no longer able to take care of these things, and trying to is only a source of fear, anxiety, confusion, and even terror. I see it more along the lines of the elderly asshole in the White House is abusing his position of a supposed president. Making rules using executive privilege and ignoring court orders when it doesn’t suit him and his administration.
