Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed in a CIA drone strike in Afghanistan over the weekend, U.S. officials said on Monday, the biggest blow to the militant group since its founder Osama bin Laden was killed in 2011.
Zawahiri, an Egyptian surgeon who had a $25 million bounty on his head, helped coordinate the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.

An Al-Qaeda spokesman complained about the attack on Al-Jeera Network.
The spokeman, Shava Mahead, complained that the US does not fight fairly because US forces killed Zawahiri while he was taking his monthly bath.
Mr. Mahead said in an interview that the Americans are sneaky and found out the days Zawahiri takes a bath, usually the last day or the first day of the month. “That is unfair and dirty tactics for the bastard Americans to kill someone who is peacefully taking a bath”.
