  1. These batteries are sent there in anticipation of an attack from Russia, which I believe is the US slow-walking the plan to let Ukraine have the Polish Migs. The idiots are going to escalate things and give the Migs to Ukraine, they are just slow-walking it. So the Patriots are there now expecting a Russian retaliation.

    My understanding is that it was the Poles themselves who called BS on the idea. It was the U.S. — and that idiot Blinken in particular — who were trying to push the narrative about Poland sending its planes, apparently without Poland’s agreement.

  14. Two whole batteries with missiles that have a range of about 15 miles (according to internet articles) to supply air defense. They couldn’t even cover Kyiv with those. Granted, they are mobile, so they could move based on intelligence, but seriously?

  15. How many knowledgeable people believed that Putin would launch an all out invasion of Ukraine? How many knowledgeable people believed Putin would destroy Ukrainian cities, wantonly killing innocent civilians? Putin has warned the West that he would attack any country that came to the direct aid of Ukraine. Want to bet against Putin being willing to attack Poland if it sends in those MiGs from NATO airbases? The Russians are going to have their way with the Ukrainians eventually. It’s going to be a bloody disaster. The only people who can put an end to it are in Russia, wearing uniforms.

  20. Poland SHOULD give their MIG-29s to Ukraine. If Poland cannot sign over title to said MIGs at Ramstein Air Force Base, then they should save jet fuel and make the exchange at the Baranovichi Air Base, (which has MIG-29 support facilities.)
