Biden Urges Russia To Release Detained U.S. Journalist

OAN: President Joe Biden has pleaded with Russia on Friday to free Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, who was detained on espionage allegations. This is an accusation that the publication has strongly disputed.

Biden spoke to reporters at the White House who asked him to give a message to Russia.

“Let him go,” Biden told reports.

Gershkovich, an American citizen, was charged by Russia’s Federal Security Service with attempting to acquire sensitive information. Since the end of the Cold War, a journalist from the United States has never been arrested in Russia on suspicion of spying. According to The Journal, it “vehemently denies” the accusations.

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at a press conference in Lusaka, Zambia, voicing that the government was “deeply concerned” about Gershkovich’s arrest. more

SNIP: I hear tales the journalist was a buddy of Victoria Nuland and obama.
Maybe they threw their asset journalist under the bus for… reasons?

  1. Putin is quaking in his boots.

Now if Gershkovich was an American-hating black lesbian basketball player who broke a law similar to laws we have in the US, Biden would be threatening to nuke Moscow.

  2. Maybe we could trade a man who sucked at playing basketball against men so he pretended he to be a woman so he could play mediocre basketball against women for him.

Oh, never mind. How about we bring home the Marine who is being held there first then worry about a hack reporter who may be working for the C I A?
