As a practical matter, I really don’t believe that “transgender” is a real thing; you are either a male or a female. One can remove parts of one’s body, take hormones and/or someone can dress in clothing that is traditionally worn by the other gender, but that doesn’t transform someone into a male or female.
Unfortunately, “medical” personnel like this doctor are engaging in political misinformation. A male can look and act like a female (and vice versa), but that doesn’t make them another gender as gender is determined at birth by chromosomes. What these “doctors” are doing is harboring and encouraging mental illness by claiming that someone can transition to the opposite gender when these “doctors” know that they cannot.
If you are a dude and want to look and act like a dudette, that’s your right. But in reality, you aren’t – so you need to stay off of women’s sports teams and out of their locker rooms and bathrooms.

It’s not real. That doesn’t mean that gender dysphoria isn’t real. It is a psychological condition and it is real. I have known two individuals affected by it and both recognized that they were not right psychology. One has passed away. Both revealed to me that they had never felt victimized by anyone about their condition until the Democrats recognized people with their condition as a “vulnerable population” that could be exploited to advance their own agenda.
Democrats are at best despicable, there are no words that come close to describing them when they are not at their best.
@JDHasty: gender dysphoria is real, but I think it’s a psychological condition rather than a strictly medical issue. What I have an issue with is a medical doctor telling a patient that “we can make you a woman” if you are a male – they can’t and this doesn’t address the psychological condition.
From a psychological standpoint, I think medical doctors pretending they can turn one gender to another may lead to additional psychological strain.

From what I know, that is spot on. I have had people scratch their head over the fact that I have been friends with these two people. They have a mental disorder, a severe mental disorder, and admit that. The other thing is they are not out to enter that horse in the Intersectionality Derby. They have both lived as women. They don’t push anything on anyone and mind their own business.
