Big Lots to File for Bankruptcy

Breitbart

The retailer known as Big Lots is preparing to file for bankruptcy as other companies across the United States have recently done.

Individuals with knowledge of the situation said the discount home goods store may file as early as Sunday, Bloomberg reported on Friday, noting the company is planning to sell its stores through a court-supervised process. More

  1. We routinely lament the current state of affairs within our society, brought on exclusively by progressive polices, aimed to bring about the dystopian wasteland we find ourselves in.

Unaccountable thieves have brought most retailers to their knees, and more will close. Less choice for the people, fewer employed in retail, and more people on welfare and public subsistence. Our government is using fear and dependence to silence and control.

It won’t be long before the government operates the supply chain and operations for all food distribution centers. We can only buy what they want us to buy at the prices they set, more of that ,”You will own nothing and be happy…………or else” mindset.

  2. Oh, but itz a GREAT economy!!
You’d think that at least companys like Big Lots (selling deals on on old inventory) would be doing good in a bad economy, but even they can’t make it!
In other words, it’s an economy that truly SUCKS!!
If Cocksuker and Dipshit “win” even store like Big Lots will have empty shelves!

  4. I live in rural America, our closest stores are WalMart, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, a Grocery store, 3 auto parts stores and down to one resale shop. All of the mom and pop stores didn’t survive covid and only one of the resale stores survived and it’s ran by a non-profit.

I was talking to the lady who has worked at Dollar General for years and she said they had cut back to only two full time employees, one of them has to work the evening and weekend shifts. Then they have only one part time employee now who works 4 hours a day stocking. They couldn’t get shelves stocked with a full time employee doing stocking.
Another lady I know who has worked at WalMart as a cashier since she retired from her career, at first she just went back to work part time because she was bored, since Biden she went full time was telling me they had let close to half the employees go, which were all part time employees.
Our local grocery store now has two cashiers, one manager, two stockers, two people who now run the deli and bakery, when they did have two for each and two who work in meat department, when they did have 4 or 5 back there.

That tells me even WalMart is being hit with this economy.
I also know a guy who owns 4 new car dealerships in the state, he says car sales are way down, he had been warning for awhile that they were steadily declining.
A local realtor told me home sales are coming to a standstill.
A repo guy I know says he can’t hire enough people to repo all the cars, so I guess the repo business is good. He said he’s been in the repo business for 25 years and he’s never seen it this busy.
