Former President Bill Clinton is facing questions about his health after he was spotted in the Hamptons with what appeared to be a portable defibrillator.

Photographs show someone accompanying the 79-year-old Democrat and his wife, Hillary, carrying what appeared to be a medical device. The New York Post reported that it resembled a Propaq MD Air Medical Bag. More

    …that said, a defib defibs. It doesnt fix it if your in end stage CHF or get a tube blocked, and you cant shock flatline or PEA away either, it only corrects for very specific things and then only temporarily. You have to fix the underlying pathologies and that isnt always possible in a field setting or in an aging heart.

    The electrical system is irrelevant if the engine is locked up.

    No one cheats death forever.

    Not even a Clinton.

  5. The fascinating thing is that it’s being carried out in the open like that. It’s not surprising that someone in his detail has equipment like that. Neither one of the Clintons are spring chickens. What’s surprising is that we’re actually seeing it. Is it normal to tote something like that around without it being in a case of some type unless there is an immediate problem?

  6. I was thinking he needs a portable crash cart and cardiac specialist to accompany him at all times. It’s probably an excuse to bring his “women” along on his trips to freeload off of rich people and declare them his heart nurses.

  8. …but its not unreasonable tonbe prepared. When my mother and my MIL got into advanced age and we moved well away from hospitals I wanted something more just-in-case. I wasnt legally qualified for this type of monitor setup any more but I COULD jump through a couple of hoops for an AED, and so I did.

    It stays mostly in the house, but was along for the ride with my mom more than she knew; and while it ultimately played no part in her eventual outcome, it at least made ME feel better to have another tool available, and is still there for my MIL and indeed for me and my wife, to maybe give us a bit more time to hold out till the Little Red Truck could find our bucolic hideaway.

    We have an elderly congregation at my church. I got them one and paid for some folks to train with it. Hasnt been used yet, but its there, JIC.

    I also have them available at work. Good thing too, used one twice now in two different buildings, won one and lost one. Cant fix everything, but at least gives a little more of a chance.

    …I dont like Clinton and abhor all hes done and all he stands for and certainly his harridan spouse, but I cant fault him for having a medical device available to give him a bit more of a shot if the Reaper comes a’knockin.

    In fact, I recommend EVERYONE have an AED if they can, or at least be aware where they are if they are out and about, like Wal-Marts and such have them now, its good to know and to have that in your mind for you and your loved ones.

  9. Ain’t buying it. EVERYTHING the Clintons do is carefully orchestrated. Bill’s been ordered to show up for a congressional investigation. Coincidence? I think not. They carry defibrillator outside its case with the controls pointing in the direction of the press? Carefully orchestrated.

    He’s setting the sympathy table for his Epstein Island testimony before Congress in October. Expect Hillary to start using a walker and/or wearing a neck brace soon. I don’t think she’ll openly sport a colostomy bag, but you never know.
