This is cultural appropriation to the Singaporeans. ST time is absolutely screwed in the head. I worked for a Singapore company for a few years, when the meeting is scheduled at 10AM, that’s when you think about going, people don’t start filing into the meeting room until 10:30. If the meeting is scheduled to run until 11am, the last person will show up at 10:55. Every single time. And they laugh about it openly, especially if you call them out. On the bright side, I was paid a hell of a lot of money to sit on conference calls listening to an empty room, often late in the evening due to time difference.

It’s funny to watch such detached people try and connect. The awkward delivery is actually genuine because it is so unnatural to them. The forced laughter from the audience only helps to highlight the divide. At least the gold circus tent helps to cover her pachyderm physique.

all the blacks folks I know are punctual, hardworking and efficient, but then I don’t live in NYC, Detroit, New Orleans, Cleveland, Pittsburg, Cincinnati, Washington DC, Atlanta, St. Louis, Chicago or other large city democrat plantation either.

The Call to Prayer might have a deleterious effect on punctuality. If 15% of my workers went AWOL five times a day, I might have to assume a casual attitude about time just to maintain my sanity. Dhimmitude comes in many flavors.
