I was reading a column by David Limbaugh over at Newsbusters. And he makes the point that we should just let these assholes keep talking. Colbert, Maher. Let them keep up these vulgar, over-the-top screeds. I agree with him. Because I think most Americans respond negatively to this kind of hateful vitriol — especially coming from people who claim that Trump (and by extension those who voted for him) are the hateful ones. It’s making them look worse than hypocrites. It’s making us (and Trump by extension) look like the even-tempered, reasonable people.
