For 20 years I have studied local and national health care policy in an attempt to provide my clients with the best possible guidance available. What I am about to report is something I have never experienced in my 20 year career as a licensed health insurance broker. I warned when 2016 ACA Open Enrollment began that 173,000 Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois policy holders would be receiving policy cancellation notices like this. What I did not know at the time and what I am about to report is something so discriminatory that I can barely wrap my head around it.
As I scramble to find alternative coverage for my Blue Cross clients I am now realizing that those who make more income than that required to qualify for an APTC – Advance Premium Tax Credit = (subsidy) at Healthcare gov are denied access to any 2016 BCBSIL health plans that include the ‘multi-state’ PPO which grants you access to Northwestern Memorial, University of Chicago and Rush University Medical center among many other medical providers. When these clients attempt to purchase a 2016 BCBSIL plan with a ‘multi-state’ PPO, they are instead linked from Healthcare gov to the new and limited “Blue Choice Preferred” PPO which does not include access to the aforementioned hospitals. So let’s simplify this. The teaching hospitals that are supported with Tax Money, i.e. Paid for by the Tax Payers, are now off-limits to those same Tax Payers, and will only be available to the Tax Suckers. Is that about right?
I talked to Steven yesterday and re-uped my illegal insurance, and have a few friends asking me for help because BCBS has abandoned my county as they raised premiums by at least 50%. One friend had his premium raised 27,000%! He went from on cent a month to 270 bucks a month for his subsidized policy (did I do the math right?) Now, let me say, Obamacare is working exactly as planned.
To fix all this, what is the next logical step politicians will put in place?

Every single time someone says repeal Obamacare and I hear a lefty reply “and take away health care to millions?” I want to kick them in the EFFING teeth.
What about the MILLIONS YOU SCREWED OUT OF HEALTHCARE and their doctors? It was ok to do THAT!

This is the argument I had with a slimy Congressman and I was right all along. At the town hall meeting I actually made the local news and was seriously asked to run against said Congressman.
I laughed at their horrible vetting process.
I’ll equate them to Carson supporters. You skewer a politician effectively and all of a sudden you’re a candidate.
