  1. RIP Senator Dole. The dude was a serious guy with a great sense of humor. He was a bit squishy on politics but I don’t think he was a sellout.

His presidential campaign of 94 didn’t have a chance against Clinton, but it exposed the mega media complex that included news media, but pop culture in general. That’s when SNL dove into the shitter face first. They never recovered.

  2. I met him on one of the many Honor Flights I was honored enough to go on. He was on the board at the beginning and he would be at the WWII Memorial to meet those brave men even when he was in his wheelchair.

  3. We didn’t do much skiing in Kansas.

He once said. Pretty funny. But the mountains of Italy are pretty daunting. Super vertical. Nearly killed myself on them recreational skiing. Nobody was shooting at me.

  4. The left can’t quit being disgusting people dancing on his grave because Dole had the audacity to state he was a Trumper (as recently as July) and that he voted for him twice. They are so vile.

  5. Ever since I came to understand the full width, breadth and scope of the hospice benefit under Medicare I’ve said I would give him a big hug and a kiss if I wouldn’t get my ass stomped by his security detail. The rest of whatever his politics might be aside, he did help Ronald Reagan push this through Congress in 1982, and millions of people are thankful for the help they’ve gotten at the end of life for their loved one.

  6. Bob was, as Gore said in the ’96 VP debate, “the most liberal man in Congress for 50 years.”! But much better than the entire Bush Clan, McC, Mitt, can Cheneys = he was Republican. The afore mentioned have always been leftists and support leftists; not conservatives.

my first year in college JFK said SocSec was in big trouble. He proposed a 300% tax increase. his plan also turned SS into a welfare program. Some oppressed P.O.C. were getting monthly check of $1.00! If you paid $500 and I only paid $5 when you retired you check would be 100 times mine. The law was passed “in his honor” in ’65, Bob Dole was big supporter. Dole said we needed to make SS a welfare program for the “Hungarian Freedom Fighters’; some of whom would retire having only paid $5.

Since ’65 the man who paid $500 would only get 10 times s much monthly s the man paying only $5! Welfare; plain and simple!

I did not vote for bob in ’96 because he defeated 2 things Ronny tried to do, that I strongly support.
    1. Defunding the UN
    2. Defunding Common Core/CRT. Were it not for Bob the Un would likely have joined The League. There would never have beenCommon Core/CRT except for Bob.

  7. He never hung out with the ex POTUS group like those in that gang do and he supported Trump. He was not against America and RIP. I bet you won’t see much in MSM and he won’t get the BS McCain funeral.

  8. Dole screwed the American people with his ethanol subsidies and his scuttling of Reagan’s move to defund the United Nations. That is what I remember most about his time as Senator

  10. I always admired Bob Dole. Genuine good guy. And I LOVED Norm MacDonald’s impression of him. LOL!

Good thing now is that he won’t be spending any hot days with John McStain.

  11. Bob Dole almost bought the farm in Italy, but it happened on April, 14 1945, a mere 16 days before Hitlet swallowed the ol lead pill. Whats really outrageous was that the Red Army was inside the city limits of Berlin that same week. So what was the point in exposing a battalion of kids to a murderous barrage of artillery and machine gun fire that killed or wounded half of them, especially when there is nothing but mountain ranges between them and Germany. This was a scandal that never saw the light of day

And Dole was definitely close to death. He was given morphine by a medic who had to abandon him for other wounded. In the meantime, the medic had to mark Dole with an M (for morphine) in his OWN BLOOD so that another medic who might come along would refrain from giving Dole another dose

And yet Dole recovered from this and lived another 76 years which is longer that my own father’s lifespan. And my father was a doctor who observed ideal health habits.

There are no words that can do it justice
