Boeing Weighs Option of Selling Off Its Space Business

Legal Insurrection- I recently reported that a Boeing-made satellite, Intelsat 33e, exploded in space this week following an “anomaly,” resulting in its total loss.

Add to the Starliner troubles, with its crew forced to stay at the International Space Station until February, and a strike by unhappy union members, 2024 has been a dreadful year for the firm’s iconic space business.

Now comes news that Boeing may be jettisoning space projects altogether. more here

  1. Interesting. I don’t see any value here. There’s no good will unless there’s some juicy contracts that go along with it. Their designs are worthless, their process capability is worthless. I’ll off a buck 95.

Not that simple. They gave up their braniac recruitment program that actually starts at the high school level. Back in the day I’ve had to pick up Raytheon engineers at 1:00 am at the airport because they were to young to rent a car. I’m not joking. And they were brilliant engineers. Boeing gave that up and it will take years to get the pipeline going again. The fat lezbos with pink hair couldn’t cut it I guess.

  3. Boeing may be willing to sell, but who would be willing (and able) to buy? I don’t think Musk wants it. Northrup Grumman? Probably not. Too much unproductive unprofitable excess DEI baggage attached. Sooooo…..my recommendation to Boeing is to slowly lay off and dissolve the Space division. Or….do it all at once. Your choice. (But I wouldn’t hire very many of the Space division people into any of your other divisions. You have enough problems already)
