Several Boston college students have been suspended and placed under investigation after they were “caught” with stickers critical of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
According to a new report from the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), Emerson College is investigating a conservative campus group for handing out the anti-CCP stickers.
A campus chapter of Turning Point USA was suspended on October 1 over the stickers, FIRE reported.
The group had been handing out stickers that said “CHINA KINDA SUS.”
The group leaders were later notified that they were under investigation for violating the college’s community guidelines.
The stickers also featured a CCP hammer and sickle logo, implying that the group was suspicious of China’s ruling communist regime. more here
And the problem is what exactly? Speech is still free, like it or not.
I’m guessing that “SUS” is intended to mean “SUX” or “SUCKS”. Or am I out of date with current slang (again. still.)?
— break —
I just looked around and see that it’s slang for “suspicious” which is silly. The CCP is in-your-face obvious; nothing suspicious about it.
Colleges and other American institutions are bought and sold by the chicoms. Here’s to hoping the coming economic downfall of the prc, as some people suspect, is sure and swift. It will leave chumps like boston college in need of funds. What then?
They don’t want to offend the cash paying students from China stealing all our research.
Boston has come a long way from throwing British Tea Overboard & having a party.
Looks Like Brady got out Just in Time and went to a Free State.
@Dry gulched — The article headline’s capitalization is benignly misleading. This is Emerson College, which is a college in Boston, and not Boston College (with a capital “C”).
Al, it means suspicious because of dishonesty and untrustworthiness.
After reading the article, it seems to me the school would have no problem if the stickers praised China. I wonder if the stickers said something about praising things China does like slavery, probably no problem there either.
BUT if they were burning American Flags and tearing down statues, that would be fine & the Uni would give them a Safe Space to Plan Their destruction & damage.
China’s out of coal, meaning China’s out of electricity. And they were already out of money. And they’re shit out of luck trying to get goods delivered here in the U.S. because apparently nobody knows how to drive a semi. So one of the unintended consequences of having the “ADULTS” in charge is the economic collapse of China. Not cool. How Hunter going to buy crack.
Lemme guess: the college receives some kind of endowment from China, doesn’t it? Gotta keep slushing those funds…
Oh yea, meanwhile Boston college management that were responsible for the expulsion of this student need to be tracked down and beat to a pulp. I’m really hoping there were no key words in the above.
Their sticker should have said,
“China is ASSHOE!”
Didn’t AOC attend Boston College? That explains everything.
They wouldn’t like my ‘NUKE CHINA’ t-shirt.
You would think university administrators would be smart enough to be able to distinguish between disparaging a nation/government and discriminating against a race. If they are not smart enough to make that distinction, Emerson students should find a more intelligent university.
The chinese communist party must donate to the college.
Brad – China’s out of coal…
Back a few years ago when Broom Hildabeast was bragging about bankrupting the coal industry, shutting it down and putting a helluva lot of people out of work my feeling at that time was that China was licking their chops to come in and buy up an entire industry for pennies on the dollar to burn OUR coal unrestricted! Trump put an end to that, but I don’t know whats to stop them now! We already know Jackass Joe couldn’t care less about who and how many are put out of work! I think its just a question of time.
