Bre Payton, Tragic Lost Of A Young Conservative Voice

You may have watched her on Fox News as a contributor or read her work in “The Federalist.” Bre Payton was a promising young conservative voice who was in California Wednesday to guest host on One America Now (OAN). A friend found her “unresponsive and barely breathing” Thursday morning. She passed early Friday at age 26. Doctors speculate that she had contracted “H1N1 flu and possibly meningitis.”

  1. I was watching David Asman on Wednesday, he had her on, what a bright and beautiful person. I loved listening to her and looked forward to hearing more. Imagine on TV Wednesday, hardly breathing on Thursday and dead on Friday morning. OMG how tragic.

  2. My husband is an infectious disease doctor and is not buying the H1N1 story. He is not saying it is impossible but it is not likely. He has found one case in the literature of a 24 y.o. female who died that quickly from H1N1. Usually, if you die from it, it is from ARDS (shocked lung).

  3. It’s so hard to tell from such little info. But it must have doctors stumped at this point and grasping at straws. There will be a very thorough post mortem, no doubt, because of her age and prior good health.

Her poor family. Such a loss to everyone.

  4. So bright and beautiful. What a devastating tragedy for her family.
Both, Meningitis and H1N1 flu swabs only take a matter of hours to get results from a decent lab, in my experience as an ER RN. I’m very curious to know what the final diagnosis turns out to be. My guess is neither of those, as I cannot imagine that they were not already ruled out.
Prayers for those who love her.

  5. I was shocked and mightily saddened to hear about Bre Payton’s death. Since she was in the Sanctuary State of California, could she have contracted the H1N1 from the huge amount of illegals roaming around? Lord knows, you can pick up germs easy enough in the best of conditions.

  6. Sometimes people die from the strangest things… however something about this is nagging at me, it might be because she and I are- were the same age, but I think it’s more along the lines of the time of year and why she was alone and the fact that she was found on the floor… it’s just odd.
