British Army Ditches ‘Gender Specific’ Titles

Breitbart: The British Army is to scrap role titles like “rifleman” and “infantryman” for the more gender-neutral “infantry soldier” and “infanteer”.

The briefing document, seen by the Mail on Sunday, also said that any training manuals with “gender specific” language will have to be thrown out to not be exclusionary to women recruits.

“Gender specific terms are to be removed from all doctrine, policy, orders and instructions at the SCHINF [School of Infantry] and their use discouraged,” the Doctrine and Concepts policy document reads.

“The IBS [Infantry Battle School, Brecon, Wales] is to ensure gender specific terms are removed from the next edition of Infantry Platoon Tactics and the Brecon Battle Book,” it adds.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence confirmed the changes to the tabloid, but said they will not affect historic rank titles such as “Guardsman”.  more here

  1. Will they issue Mickey Mouse ears to the Infanteers? And how about tutus and tiaras to all the queer soldiers, the Infantqueers and the ability to prance around like a faggot while on parade. And afterwards they can break up into home decoration and flower designing classes. And then there’s the Navy version of FUBAR, SNAFU = situation normal all fucked up.

  2. I just got back from seeing “They Shall Not Grow Old,” and struggle to imagine female soldiers doing any of what I saw. Sorry, ladies.

If you can see this film, you should. Apart from the IMO mildly distracting 3D, it’s brilliant. Footage is almost entirely real wartime footage, brilliantly restored and enhanced with color and sound. ALL narration is from archived postwar interviews from veterans who were there.

  3. I also just got home from seeing They Shall Not Grow Old. The theater I was at was full to capacity for the 7PM showing of the movie. And I agree with The Deplorable TWP that it’s well worth watching when it next shows on Dec. 27th. At the end of the movie when they interviewed Peter Jackson, he was saying that most of those British soldiers shown in the archival footage were killed within 30 minutes of going over the top into no man’s land attacking the Germans. It’s a pretty powerful (and sometimes humorous from the actual soldiers perspective) documentary from real footage of some of the battles of World War 1. It’s definitely well worth watching.
