A hologram of the young Queen waving at royal fans down The Mall has been beamed onto the Gold State Coach, as royals and politicians gather outside Buckingham Palace to watch today’s spectacular £15million Platinum Jubilee Pageant.
The thousands of fans delighted in seeing the youthful likeness of Queen Elizabeth II greeting them as the carriage progressed along The Mall, in a touching throwback to the early days of Her Majesty’s 70-year reign.
The Gold State Coach is an especially significant part of today’s procession because it transported the 25-year-old Queen Elizabeth from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey on the day of her coronation on June 2, 1953. More

There are some things in life I do not understand but appreciate, the Brit’s general affinity for their monarchy is one of these.
I understand the need for tradition, where would the Jewish religion be without tradition, so in this vein I get the appeal.
And generally, the Royal family has comported themselves admirably, discounting an errant son who likes underage girls and an ungrateful simp grandson who does what his wife tells him.
