Brooks And Shields Make Dire Prediction for Dems If They Lose Virginia

This could be a disaster of Biblical proportions.  According to commentator Mark Shields, if Democrat Ralph Northam  can’t win the governorship of Virginia, it would be “close to civil war within the Democratic Party.” Which elicited a “Wow” from PBS NewsHour host, Judy Woodruff.

David Brooks wasn’t much more encouraging saying that if the Democrats can’t win in a state that hates Trump, then it would be “a gigantic warning sign for 2018.”

  1. We’re now at the nexus of Virginia politics and e. e. cummings poetry.
If this election turns out poorly, a bit of the old fifth avenue El in the top of our heads my await many.

  2. On Tuesday I’m looking forward to helping the Dems lose Virginia.
I’m driving two frail, very elderly neighbors with me so they can cast what they know may be their last vote. They want it to count.

  3. A plurality of voters has been in denial about the true Marxist totalitarian bent of the DNC. Thanks to the lunatic meth heads of AntiFA coupled with the DJT siphoning the blue collar retards away, rational self-interest is being decoupled from freeshit-itis. The Most Unclean Hilzebub calling them “deplorables,” “racists,” and other names sure helped. It is transparently a sewer of mutants, losers and drug addicts.

It’s difficult to swallow that it took this much for people to notice and act.

  4. The state of Virginia will have an incredible amount of cheating going on; on Election Day.
That’s what they just said. They will be busing in people to vote.

  5. A lot of dead people voting

Given that Virginia has voter ID, that should drive all the cheaters to the districts where the administrators are willing to cheat with them. That should put the turn out in those districts way over the actual population and serve as a red flag for those watching.
Hopefully, it will be documented and dealt with.

  6. We have photo ID requirements in VA. Cheating can only be done with absentee voting.
Our biggest problem is the northern part of the commonwealth is dedicated to the DC swamp and vote liberal in order to protect it at all costs.

  7. VA Voter ID works, and last year I saw it being enforced even in Deep Blue NoVa.

McAuliffe defied the VA Supreme Court to unconstitutionally restore voting rights to reportedly ~60,000 convicted Felons, trusting that criminals instinctively identify as a Democrats. Not sure how the legal challenges stand for Tuesday.

Much has happened since last year’s election.
The Dems went batshit Bolshevik crazy. Antifa. Maxine Waters. War on Whites, including Robert E Lee. Drip-drip revelations of DNC corruption.
Meanwhile the Undecideds have had a year to see that DT is not the second coming of Hitler, not Cthulu, and he’s actually accomplishing positive results.
I’m hoping that a large number of Independents will have drifted to the Right.
BLM’s demonization of the Confederacy is a huge offense that most are reluctant to talk about openly. But it’s not the future most want.
Finally, Obama and Lynch are gone and the precinct Dem-worker ballot fraud may be less bold than when they were assured they were electing President Hilary.
    With all that, I’m optimistic.

  8. Mark Shields is the poster child for the phrase ‘hang dog expression’. LOL

The Dems don’t have any rabbits left to pull out of their collective hats, they couldn’t even get their violent protesters to burn shit down yesterday.

I’m thinking with the voter bashing, Hillary fatigue, and the duplicitousness of the DNC, Dems could be done for the foreseeable future.

  9. Problem with VA is they now have a lot of people who were in jail who are able to vote this election, Didn’t the current Governor approve this? I doubt they will be voting for the Republican.

  10. @Rufus, it was that greedy idiot Republican Governor Bob McDonnell that started the restoration of felon voting rights. Yes. McAuliffe turbocharged the process, but McDonnell got the ball rolling on that issue.

  11. I think the RINO can pull it off: there’s voter ID now and no Holder or Lynch DOJ to wink at fraud. Blacks and felons don’t care…. wouldn’t vote anyway.

This may well be a cork popper. ….Lady in Red

  12. @Rufus. Yeah the McDonnell experience put us back many years and gave us McAuliffe.
I was presented with a pin by him for all the shoe leather I wore out door knocking on his behalf. Pfffft.

  13. Translation:

Democrats need a victory to sell to their crazies or they are going to turn on them.

With a Virginia win, I might become a Super-Patriot again, who knows.

  14. @PHenry: “McAuliffe turbocharged the process…”
He must have done something. He was first shot down on that, then had to individually review and sign each felon’s waiver to vote. Sure, he did that, right. He’s a clintonista, so he just lied about that, too.
    Good luck in VA!

  15. Oh. Goodness me. A civil warm among the left? Can you imagine all the umbrella and purse related assaults? Name calling. Hurt feelings. Men in high heels tripping. Their wigs pulled off in public. Bull dykes absolutely clobbering each other. Mayors crying. Newspaper editors running for safe spaces. Goodness. This is going to be just awful. Volvo and Prius service appointment no-shows. Interior decorator appointments postponed. Professors not showing up for work. Who’s going to arrange flowers? Style hair?
