Several employees at a New York City apartment building have been suspended after a now-viral video showed the staff failing to intervene as a man attacked a 65-year-old Asian woman.
The Brodsky Organization, the property developer and manager of the building outside of which the attack took place, said in a statement on Instagram that the staff who witnessed the attack on Monday have been suspended while the company investigates.
The organization added in the statement that it is also “working to identify a third-party delivery vendor present during the incident.” More

How about condemning all forms of violence against everybody regardless of their gender, age or race?

Notice how the building employee closes the door after the beating so he didn’t have to hear the victims screams. These people are as bad as the attacker. And they all have something in common…

Jason is partially right. The only reason this made the news is because of the victim’s ethnicity, a white female victim would change the whole dynamic. But you needn’t worry about the employees losing their job, they are all back as well, so protected class, no worries. It does make one wonder how fast those guys would have been fired if they were all white. Our culture is so messed up right now.
In comparison to the story about the Uber eats driver that died in a failed car jacking, this to me is even more egregious and awful. This attacker showed deliberateness and intent to severely harm this poor woman. A single kick to the head, pushing it into the concrete sidewalk could have resulted in a homicide for sure. He needs to be locked up for a very long time.

They’d have been arrested for assault if they had intervened … and they knew it.
I remember a case some 30 years ago when a guy by the side of the road was raping a 2 y/o girl and a cabbie and a couple of other drivers got out, chased him, and beat the crap out of him.
Guess who got arrested? Yep. The mexican cabbie and the other drivers.
The guy doing the rape was the little girl’s uncle – no charges – he was watching her while the mother worked.
New York ain’t changed much.

If people would have tried to stop or restrain the criminal and he died of a drug overdose while resisting it would be another bottom of the food chain riot just like george floyd.
