Bummed Out Today Because Of Art Stealing Scumbags

I knew when Obamagate was trending on Twitter it was only a matter of time before my art was stolen by FUCKING ASSHOLES.

What makes this hurt worse is that it was Tweeted by James Woods (who did nothing wrong! Let me make that clear) and Instagrammed by Donald Trump Jr. (who also did nothing wrong.)

These tweets could be potentially life changing moments, but lost because of “conservative” dildos that think it’s cool to remove my credit and replace it with their own.

These are not conservatives. These are assholes, and I’d like to kick the shit out of them, frankly.

This is more than disheartening, and the damage it causes to people like me, actual producers, is immense. And it’s also damaging to you, the viewers who want this sort of thing out there to combat the left, because I really don’t feel like producing if I’m not getting the credit.

Call me crazy, but I don’t want to work for free, or see some other dirtneck no talent shit weasel get the credit.

Here, this is the original ->

Would these assholes have the balls to take a recording of The Beatles and strum like a retard on their shitty banjo for two measures and then rerelease it calling it their own?

Sorry, people. But I’ll be in a horrible mood for awhile.

  1. Well, just shit.

James Woods has his Twitter DM disabled, but I sent a reply to the tweet he pinned that has the forged image that the scumbag thief stole from Fur.

Now, I’m going to see if I can contact Don Jr. to let him know he unknowingly used a forgery.

    Damn these so-called conservatives.

Fur, I’m so sorry for you. You work so hard and to have these dirt bags profit in stolen accolades is sickening.

yes … yes they would … people like that are scum

    feel for ya, Fur

  3. Hellfire and sandy applesauce Fur, sh!t happens. TO ALL OF US.

I don’t have a helpful answer other than don’t let it get to you. Why? Because I’ve never been able to do anything when my art gets stolen.

I console myself with the fact it was good enough to get stolen in the first place.

  4. Can’t say I blame ya @BFH, AT ALL, but you are in the gutter with them (the Net) so, getting soiled and bruised if not CUT, along the way is bound to happen.

And yes, being that I have a graphic my myself, that is some of the best if not THE best shit I have seen. You are THEE (image) Mash Up King. These ideas and thoughts are transferred to trace paper to computer screen can be quite a scared thing for the ‘creator’ of that ‘image’.

I had to look at the photo on the below feed to see that the credit was moved to the top right corner and barely legible. SO they are ‘getting away with it’ as far as they are concerned.

@Aaron Burr- yeah we have heard that argument, I get it, but to C’s point, long spent time, therefore $$$?? NOT GOOD.

C – not sure when you checked?

  5. Aaron Burr and All,
Console yourself with the fact that we changed the World.

    ghost,
I have a wide, wide, wide painting for you to hang behind the bar. Probably take awhile to transport. Patience.

    Carpe,
Nice corner work. Something your way. Masks and stuff. Whites of their eyes. Patience.

  6. Your agitprop is among the finest on the net. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but stealing? Well, that’s just wrong.

I’m sorry for you Fur, I wish there was a way you could forensically trace back to the source of the theft. Kind of like contact tracing for the Fauxchi Wu-flu.

    12
  7. I’m steamed. When you create great work such as this, to have it appropriated and credit/author stripped is plain ol’ THEFT.

And what makes me mad in a related-but-different way is just how fscking WIDESPREAD this sort of theft has been. But that this happens to lots of other creative people doesn’t soften the blow to BFH.

@BFH – Question: I used tineye to do a reverse search on your image and it turned up a couple of hits at a site named itsbigfurhat.com, and that domain name was created/registered in April of last year. Is that domain yours or is this just another fscking infuriating ripoff?

    6
  8. I posted a comment to Mr. Woods also, identifying this as INTELLECTUAL THEFT and telling him that you were the creator.

If Claudia will let me know where else she has seen it on twitter, I will post the same comment all those places, too.

    8
  9. That was an old site I had, 8 years ago, at least.
I made it because I had no place to put my really “out there” memes.
The site was shut down by Gargle within 2 weeks.

    10
  10. Just make it clear that they did nothing wrong.
The goal is to get them to repost the meme with our credit, not just pull it down in fear that they did something wrong.

    14
  11. So the illegible red line in the upper right-hand corner “Credit: I Own The World.com” was added after you notified James Wood? Do you have a clue who stole this image?

  13. I just went to James Woods’ Twitter feed and he un-pinned the tweet. Hopefully he will re-pin it with Fur’s original image.

ghost, that image is the one that was changed. They removed Fur’s tag at the bottom and blurred out the iotwreport.com tag at the top.

Tony R, it was there before I notified him. It was blurred out intentionally. The original is clear.

  14. @C – IS ON IT EVERYONE! Our very OWN Molly pitcher tends to the cannon…

@Toto Totos- looking forward to it. I love presents!

But does it look anythhing like THIS?? One of my procured flatboats in 1776:

@BFH – do something with The Crossing…could make ya mood better!

  15. Been there, sued that. Twice. Got nothing because scoundrels like that generally are cheating at everything and hide their assets –if they have any, and if they don’t, you can’t take anything off them.
Our cases (as well as other occurances we chose to walk away from) involved physical artwork ripped off by individuals and firms we could identify; still no satisfactory recourse, just job security for lawyers on both sides. Sad to say, the Internet is the swamp of public domain.
Tomorrow you will still have your talent and a new idea; they will still be thieves.

  16. MaryFromMarin

I saw it “by chance” on his Instagram story. I already messaged Don Jr. and let him know with graphics who did the original art.

Come on Lord. If anyone needs a financial breakthrough on his political art you know it’s Fur. 🙏

    9
  17. I place this in the “Justifiably Pissed” category.
    No apologies needed.
Everyone is allowed to have them.
Few partake in the appropriate manor.
Satisfied to see that you are.

  18. BFH – Do one of Turdeau

Uncle Al – Any credit card numbers? I would like a new TV and some other stuff. Kidding, kidding, actually I’m scared.

    3
  19. BFH..Pretty sure this includes works published over the Internet.

Consider using “Notice of Copyright” whenever placing the work into the public. This automatically places the work under Copyright Law protection, even if you have not yet copyrighted it with the US Copyright Office.

    The Notice should contain:

    1) The word “Copyright”;
    2) a “C” with a circle around it;
    3) year it was created; and,
    4) the name of the author or owner of the work

    For further info, see:

    https://fairuse.stanford.edu/overview/faqs/copyright-protection/#what_role_does_a_copyright_notice_play

    Also (for extra security):

Keep the original (or copy of original) and mail it to yourself via Certified or Registered Mail with signature to verify receipt of mail.

For what it is worth, you might be able to bring suit against the thief…especially if it becomes popular.

I have followed this routine for every music composition made over some 30 years.

For Internationally published music tracks on the Internet, I file them with the US Copyright Office. Never had a problem…Yet.

  20. @C- yeah, the link I put up was the feed to just let everyone access it easily to see the fake! (I said that ^^^^ up there…)

@BFH – let us know if he e-mails ya, C put your iOTW e-mail up! He just might show up at the bar here…maybe buy us ALL a round…

Now do a mash up of this disgraced, traitor Benedict Arnold:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benedict_Arnold#/media/File:Benedict_Arnold_1color.jpg

I know, not possibly ‘as easy'(haha) as Nixon, but could be more of a challenge!

    2
  21. This is infuriating. The jerks that do this can’t possibly call themselves conservatives when they pull this kind of stunt. There is NO excuse. It is simply a form of theft and I detest them. Dammit! I really would like to see them held to account.

@Claudia, that was good of you to try and notify Mr Woods and DJT, Jr. I sincerely hope they act on it somehow. I’m so angry.

    7
  22. One reason I quit doing anything art worth my time. I regularly see Dianny’s work with the tag carefully erased even though it’s strategically placed. Why people go to such measures beats me.

  23. Sorry to hear your art has been stolen, again, BFH. What has happened to you is the most disheartening thing that can happen to an artist. It’s so much akin to having your identity stolen.

As an artist you’re skills and creative process and the artwork that results, is considered unique and individual. Therefore, stealing artwork is unconscionable, whether out of ignorance or intentionally, it’s a crime that should be taken seriously and sadly the internet enables this behavior.

I’ve had my work copied without credit and it made me angry, feel vulnerable and taken advantage of. Theft of artwork on the Internet is precisely why I won’t post my work on the Internet. I really would not be able to stand seeing my work stripped of my signature and used without my permission.

Hopefully, this time you’ll get credit you deserve. James Woods and Donald Trump Jr. seem to be people with integrity.

    8
  24. Somebody tell me why these people go to the trouble to scrub off the originators info. What justifies the effort?

I’ve always been proud when I used stuff like this to include a link to the story/thread that contains such. Because it makes me look like I hang out with smart, talented people. Well, maybe not hang out, but they let me come around.

    11
  25. ….and the ultimate question becomes….’What is Art’?….Did Michaelangelo truly sweat?….could he do plumbing?…Do you own the intrinsic value of an image?….So Yeah, the Artist usually gets fucked unless he or she has a patron like the de Medici….I also think that BFH and Dianny’s images are the best on the internet, mostly because their wit, humor and lifelong view are seen in their art…..

P.S. I know a gal that couldn’t draw stick figures who became a successful graphic artist because of computers. I slso know a graphic artist who could hand draw (pen and ink) an exploded view of any Harley engine and he got locked out of the Graphics world because of computers….He also hand builds 18th century flintlocks. Everything but the barrel is his own. Ain’t no duplicating lawsuit needed….

    6
  26. I’ve been dipping my toe back in Twitter and occasionally retweet stuff. THIS was worth retweeting with a comment. Thanks to @Claudia who had a perfect tweet to go.

    Bastids. 😡

    8
  27. Yeah, PJ:

The Copyright law sometimes goes not far enough.

Kicking ass should be the follow-up punishment…including bringing in the artist, artist’s friends and fans pulling on the thief’s bank account and pockets, and then resurfacing the facial area and removing their sticky fingers from their keyboard for a long time.

    2
  28. I mean, you do have a bunch of pro-Trump voters “on your side”. They support a grifter who has stiffed thousands of contractors and laborers, and lied countless times, even about the littlest of things.
His wife worked here illegally. Just about all of his hot shot campaign people are in jail or prison, etc.

He is a zero empathy person.

    oooof.

We see how Trump University worked out. Big scam.

How many bankruptcies has he had?
If he didnt grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth, he would have been a car salesman, the annoying, gum on shoe kind.

People still support the cheater, cheaters going to cheat.

    Jeeeezuz, what did you expect??

    2
  29. I think people support Trump because he didn’t marry a tranny.

You know, none of his wives had penises.

Unlike Obama, Trump doesn’t have semen burps.

Also, we like how he treats China.

But mostly it’s the not dribbling cum down his chin deal.

  30. Hey Fur,
Did you ever try doing a hidden – as in digital, hidden in the image file – watermark? It’s how many organizations trace their work or prove provenance. This kind of watermark survives even if the image file is altered. Just a suggestion as I love seeing IP thieves getting named and shamed.
