Byron Donalds Responds to Ron DeSantis’ 2026 Gubernatorial dig Against him

Floridian Press: WASHINGTON—Hours after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appeared to dismiss President Donald Trump’s 2026 gubernatorial endorsement of Rep. Byron Donalds, the MAGA favorite congressman spoke to The Floridian and shrugged off Gov. DeSantis’s dig against him.

When asked about Gov. DeSantis’s assertion that Rep. Donalds wasn’t doing much during his time in the House of Representatives and that he has appeared to be focused on campaigning in other states rather than pushing President Donald Trump’s “America First Agenda,” Donalds sarcastically stated, “Ok.”

Donalds didn’t want to directly engage DeSantis, instead, he stated that he was focused on getting “the President’s agenda done,” adding that Trump’s endorsement “means a lot,” and that  he would figure out his future plans “pretty shortly.”

“I’m happy that I have the President’s support. It means a lot, so we’re just going to keep doing our job and moving forward,” said Donalds.

When asked what his thoughts were about DeSantis saying that First Lady Casey DeSantis would govern better than him, Donalds shrugged off the question.

“I can’t even speculate on it because we don’t know what’s happening— nobody’s in a race, but I just know in terms of where things are, I like where I am,” he added. more here

  1. And so here’s DeSantis exposing his grifter side. There’s no question he’s done great things for Florida. But tell me he’s not a Bushie. Gotta keep that legacy and money train rolling. I was thinking ealier tonight that next time around he and JD Vance would make one hell of a ticket. He just changed my mind. His wife might be his biggest problem. Show us your tiddies.

  2. ^^^^^ Donalds is a solid guy. I’m now convinced DeSantes need to fade away into the sunset. In fact, he’s now reminding me a little bit of Dan, the midget, Crenshaw.
    Hardest hit, Loco.

  3. What I wouldn’t give to have DeSantis as Gov here in WA. The way he handles that state’s governance is a thing of beauty.

If he’s pushing his wife, sobeit, it doesn’t matter. I’ll take that BS with his excellent stewardship.

  4. This is a nothing-burger, fomented by deriders who are not on our side.

So they had a disagreement about what middle schoolers should be taught re:slavery, whoopty-fucking-do.

Not only would I take DeSantis as my governor, I would equally welcome Byron as my Representative, both wear our jersey, both are on the right side of most issues, and both take personal glee in causing leftists the most amount of dis-comfort possible.

  5. Assume Karl Rove white-boarded this plan to install the missus. Ron undermined himself in the primary against Trump. This doesn’t repair that, it just causes further damage.

It is a clear lack of judgment/wisdom on Ron’s part

  6. This does not help anyone.
Why is Ron DeSantis being attacked?
Florida is a red state because of him and his policies.
He is the best governor in America.
Is he perfect? Of course no. Who is perfect other than God? No one.
You can disagree with him, but not try to discredit him or attack his family.
That is stuff Roger Stone and Steve Hill would do.
    We are better than this.
