DailyCaller: The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld a California state law requiring a 10-day waiting period for the purchase of all firearms.
Judge Mary Schroeder, a President Jimmy Carter appointee, wrote the opinion for the three judge-panel. Chief Judge Sidney Thomas wrote an opinion concurring in the judgment.
The challenge to the California law was brought by a coalition of pro-Second Amendment groups who claim it infringes a constitutional right.
Why don’t they make it 364 day waiting period? Bunch of Kommies
10 days? But I’m pissed off right now!
“Judge Mary Schroeder, a President Jimmy Carter appointee”
Don’t these vermin ever die?
10 DAYS! Fuck it, I’ll go get a chain saw.
If you have a California dealers number and a CCW you can take it with you when you leave. I have both and I can’t tell you how satisfying it is. It’s like the Big FU to CalDoj and the 9th.
Florida is walk in walk out(picked up a Mossberg 500 today 🙂 )…25 Years ago in Illinois, I ordered a Deer slug Barrel for My 870…back ordered for a Month….It came in…and I had to wait another 7 Days….for a Barrel…stupidity….
Anyone who doesn’t have a gun by now doesn’t deserve one. Whada you say Brad?
Tommy, I dunno. Had a old lady walk in the shop the other day and tells me she was told I could steer her in the right direction to get a pistol and get trained. Never fired a gun before. I sent her over to a guy that know his shit. She since gotten her ccw and has taken a bunch of classes from him. Non gun owners watch the shit on TV and it scares them. The more Pro 2 A people the better.
Need a gun fast? Not a Problem ! Hot deals !
Contact any street gang in California, no lines, no waiting, no paperwork, no background check, no tax and the price is right.

Brad, I just had a lower hit the FFL at about 3:30 this afternoon, tomorrow morning around 10:30 I’ll go pick it up.
I love out of state purchases! I know it’s going to be in transit a few days and the law says, 24hr rifle/72hr handgun starting from the moment the firearm was purchased. So when it comes in I just fill out a 4473 and go on my way with my new gun!
My last gun purchase took 10 months. The ATF gets in no hurry. You spend $200 and wait nearly a year to exercise your Constitutional right, but some deadbeat can get “government assistance” the same day. Pisses me off.
Damn Brad, you live in CA and have a CCW? I was raised in SoCal and the only you could get a CCW was to be a politician, actor, or have enough money to further the political aspirations of the Sheriff. Man, guard that thing with your life, it’s soon going to be as rare as hen’s teeth!
…. and if yer a drug lord just give Eric a call. He’ll get ya fixed up in no time at all.
For a little more cash he’ll throw in a blow job too … if yer wired that way…
@JMV, I live in the Bay Area and have a friend in Torrance who just got his CCW. through Torrance PD. He is just a regular guy and had no trouble getting one. It may vary from one county/police municipality to another.
IIRC, if he got his CCW through the Torrance PD, then that is the only municipality that he can carry. If he carries in say, Hawthorne or Hermosa Beach, and gets pulled over, he would be arrested. If the LA County Sheriff signed off, then he would be ok for LA County and its cities. At least that’s how it was explained to me when I was trying to get one.
God, I’m glad I moved to AZ 5 years ago.
It also depends on the individual cop…..

No that’s not quite correct. If you live in one county but got your ccw in another county, say if you work in another county, then that law applies. I live in El Dorado County which has the highest per capita rate of ccw’s in the state. Our Sheriff has his shit together.
Old Oak, I haven’t had a day off since Jerry Brown signed those bills. I worked 6 hours on Thanksgiving. Lowers and more lowers. We manufacturer the lightest 308 billet around and it’s been crazy trying to beat the 21st deadline. Cause after that it’s all Featureless Guns and you need to take possession before 1-1-17. And nobody in Cali has 308 lowers.
When I left LA county and CA 5 years ago the Sheriff was Lee Baca, and he most definitely did not have his shit together. As I said in an earlier post, the only way you could get a CCW was to be a politician, actor, or have enough money to further the political aspirations of the Sheriff (Baca). He is one of the many reasons that I left CA.
But it is good to hear that you are busy as hell manufacturing lowers. I always heard that rural areas and the central and northern parts of CA have a bit more common sense regarding firearms than SoCal.
A right delayed is a right denied.
This judge needs to be told she cannot buy a Bible for ten days, or she cannot post on Facebook for ten days, or she needs to wait ten days before getting a lawyer for her DUI arrest or whatever.
She is as stupid as Jimmy Carter with no respect for the Constitution. The Ninth Circus court is the most liberal and over-ruled pile of useless morons who pose as judges during the day.

We are a small manufacture so last year we did the big SoCal tour and visited the gun shops and ranges down there. LA county is Nazi Occupied territory. That Sheriff will not issue. So I walk into the L.A. Gun Club and ask one of the people working there “What’s your policy for CCW’s” as some indoor ranges won’t let you carry but most want you to declare. Her response was “I don’t know. I don’t think we’ve ever had anybody in here with a permit before”. Unfortunately that’s the Cali. most people think of, but not the Cali. I live in. I’m more than ready to leave though.
Brad, It’s why I left CA. You’re in good shape where you are for now, but eventually CA is going to implode with all of the libtard idiots running the state and the libtard morons who keep voting them in. Where I live in AZ, my small town has HPR ammo company that has recently shut down because of the idiot town council refusing to let them move to a larger facility (I guess HPR didn’t grease the council’s palms with enough cash). If you do have to move, AZ is a great place though. I’m hoping that the safe hearing act passes, because we have a lot of small manufacturers turning out some damn good suppressors, and we need more small companies that can turn out quality lowers, especially for 308.

We’re thinking about Prescott. I don’t think I could do the heat down on the valley floor. The one bitch I have with AZ is that if you hunt you need to enter the lottery for a tag even if you’re a resident.
Ten days?!
But I’m angry NOW!!
Sorry, Judgeroybean

.
Torrance, hey?
Four .45s ,
Hey, wasn’t that picture taken when_______
Hope your buying lots of ammo.
B_B: Yep!
“Your GPS is wrong!”
Only in El Dorado County brother.
Brad, agree about the valley, I live in Payson, just under the rim. I also agree about the lottery, been here 5 years and just got my first elk tag this past season (struck out). It’s easier to get deer tags though, and we have javelina all over; i’ve seen them on my property occasionally, and we have elk on the property almost every night ( we encourage them as they will be an easy food source if TSHTF). Prescott is nice, but kinda flat and colder n’ hell in the winter they are at 6-7000 feet.
Good part about AZ is it’s easy to get a CCW, or not, as we also have constitutional carry here, and you can own suppressors if you’re willing to pay the tax stamp and wait 10-12 months (Come on Hearing Protection Act).

You’re welcome.
Bad Brad; A couple months ago you chastised me over comments about Brown signing all those anti-gun bills. I believed and still believe we need to protest in the streets same as blm does, march on the capital and hound the politicians into submission.
You said the pro gun groups were fighting them and the courts would overturn them.
Doesn’t look that way now.
Speaking of guns in CA; check this out:

Back in the 30s, my Dad walked into a Montgomery Wards at 13 years old and bought a .22 bolt action rifle for $13. Dr DadofDadof4 turned out alright.
And now we have to be all licensed up like Brad with the Govt up our asses to exercise a right? Color me not impressed or pleased.
Been too much compromise over the years. Need to walk a lot of the infringing laws back.
