CPR: Marin County Democrat Assemblyman Marc Levine is moving forward legislation aimed at unionizing models and having the Labor Commission regulate their bodies.
Despite strong objections from state theatrical talent and modeling agencies, Levine sponsored Assembly Bill 2539, referred to as “Promoting Healthy Images,” which recently passed out of Committee on Labor and Employment on a five-to-two vote and is headed to the State Assembly floor. more here
There HAS to be something that the democrats haven’t figured out that they could regulate.

Is there anything they DON’T want control over?
When does the shooting start?
I want to be the nipple negotiator…
Likely lead to a ‘flat’ tax…
I don’t want the political party that thinks Mooshelle, Killery and Fauxcahontas are beautiful role models deciding what super models should look like.
No way this ends well.
How do the models feel about it?
Or does that matter?
“Keep your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty Democrat…!”
😛
Hopefully they will address the gender pay gap…
and thigh gap.
I’ll be a volunteer inspector
@ crazyeighter
It doesn’t matter what the models think, Comrade. All that matters is they be controlled by the State.
“Promoting Healthy Images?”
Does this Levine guy have some fat, ugly daughters that want to be models?
—- Labor Commission regulate their bodies.—-
Idiocracy
I would very much like to have a union with these models. *snort* *snicker*
“……Labor Commission regulate their bodies.”
But I thought womynz were supposed to have control over their own bodies!
Can I now look forward to the vacature of Roe v. Wade?
On further thought, Marc Levine can just go fuck himself. He doesn’t know anything about fashion or garment construction. Clothes just hang better, and look better, on slender models. And the reason they’re all thin is that the camera adds five pounds of visual weight. Even I, a hefty size 24, can grasp this.
So he doesn’t like what models have to do to stay thin? It’s risk and reward, dumbass. Maybe I’d limit my diet to San Pellegrino and carrot and celery sticks too if I thought somebody would pay me
millions of dollars for my sacrifices.
Please don’t let them near the Industry they will ruin it even further
Can’t ya just see them pushing Mao jackets an pant’s suits.Has any one shopped lately? Nothing but the 70’s reruns.Butt Ugly.
As for them being pencil thin GFY is correct.
So just when does the Handicapper general from Harrison Bergeron show up to make them all equal? Equally ugly, equally talented, equally flat chested etc. etc.
