Cage Match #11 The Byrds versus America
The Byrds
America
There should be Ballot for both… sigh. This is a tough one!
The Byrds, from Ecclesiastes 3:1-8,although changed some it still has meaning today..
This is a tough one. Both are great.
America performed at my old high school about 10 years ago for a fundraiser, we have been fortunate that Jackson Browne’s kids were in the district and he (and the group Venice) have brought in some huge names. When they perform the student musicians and choirs support them. Imagine ‘Horse With No Name’ with a 20-voice vocal backup. It was wonderful to listen to!
As notorious as David Crosby is I can never pick out his voice.
Very good match: but Byrds take it.
Not the best song from America to judge. They had many that were better.
David Crosby sang like an angel and behaved like the devil. His talent is undeniable. Another artistic savant. He was one of the loudest proponents for the jab on Twitter. Sadly those jabs were the end of him.
The Birds have it!
I had to check but yeah they were on Ed Sullivan
that’s where I saw them!
The Byrds that is
