Ahot summer or surge in wildfires likely are to cause blackouts across California this summer, according to a panel of public and private officials involved with maintaining the state’s power grid.
The Sacramento Press Club last week hosted Robert Foster, former Mayor of Long Beach and former president of Southern California Edison; state Sen. Mike McGuire, D-Healdsburg, who also sits on the state’s wildfire prevention group; Elliot Mainzer, the president of the California Independent System Operator (CAISO); and Susan Kennedy, a former aide to Govs. Gray Davis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. more here
Any time you guys wanna rise up and start the Slaughter in Sacramento and work your way into the coastal cities would be good, you’ve had justification for YEARS now…
I wouldn’t be surprised if there were several states that suffer blackouts either from cyber attacks or other grid issues.

The state’s been in the dark for over 20 years. That’s why I left. I wouldn’t mind going back if people do what Supernightshade suggests😏
Good leadership would head this off at the pass.
Having a view into the future should allow MOST leaders to take proper counter-measures.

Dumb statement, how does electrifying everything, reduce power demands?
The stupid are getting stupider.
“We’re asking people to go to electric vehicles, we’re asking them to electrify their homes, electrify the ports, electrify industry,” he said. “You can’t keep that rate structure in place with that electrification.”
No water, no electricity, 100+ degree temps, but the Delta Smelt sure will be happy.
California is governed by criminals. Many districts are under the Marxist influence including mine. We are building, and laying concrete, rezoning for over population everywhere. It’s insane! The cost of living is insane. It’s now $5.00 for a gallon of gas.
I guess that is how they are going to limit the charging times for all of those electric cars.
Californian’s better get their vehicles charged up…for that one day you will be able to use them.
Or, as I like to call them, “rolling punishments”, to prevent Californians from having independent thoughts.
