CBS Local Sacramento has the details of how California’s legislators are cutting off your access to what is yours.
There will soon be more focus on flushes and scrutiny over showers with a new law signed in by the governor.
California is now the first state in the nation to enact tough new water-efficiency standards. The controversial rules limit how many gallons a person can use inside their home per day.
In 2022, the new indoor water standard will be 55 gallons per person, per day. by 2030, it will fall to 50 gallons.
… An 8-minute shower uses about 17 gallons of water, a load of laundry up to 40, and a bathtub can hold 80 to 100 gallons of water.

These restrictions are focused on Northern California. The people that own the water.Southern Californian RINOS have said in private meetings, “fuck You, we are taking it.” I guess they better come armed. I’ll gladly jump in this fight.
I live by Lake Erie. They would be doing the same thing here if they were in power. They actually tried that a few years ago when we had a Rat Governor! They mounted a campaign to save water (like we’re gonna drain a Great Lake!) and people did. The revenue went down so they jacked up the rates to make up for what they lost. We’re not saving water anymore, but we’re paying about twice as much for it! We’ve had suburbs try to leave the Cleveland Water system get sued by Cleveland for doing so! It’s not about the water. It’s about the power!
Anyone remember the movie Chinatown with Jack Nicholson. It’s all about water rights and who actually controls it or thinks they can control it or steal it or who has the most enforcers to take it over. Nothing is new here, except now it’s a blatant outright power grab
I live near the Fall river in Fall River Mills, Ca. California has been trying to steal our water for years. The Fall river is the second largest aquifer in the nation. California’s water plans fall on deaf ears here. Good luck with the theft.
A responsible state government would try to make more water available – desalination plants, new resevoirs, better aquifer management, etc. But this is California where liberals are promoting taking down dams while punishing citizens. Perhaps California’s liberals want productive people to leave so they can maintain political power through illegals and migrants.
Those numbers seem a bit skewed…18 Gallons Showering? What are You
doing in there?
Most Washing Machines use no where near 40 Gallons.
I drink a lot of Beer…so I flush the Toilet frequently (when I’m not
peeing outside like an Animal…Which is even frequenter )
My Water Bill used to be about $11 a Mo. Then They fined us for not
using enough Water…something like $12 extra…And I shower 3 times a
Day…I’m only in there to get clean…not go on Safari (sinners)
In the Northwest you HAVE to use more than 100 gallons per day.
the next Sacramento edict will ration toilet paper. The state cannot have anyone making their own decisions, governor moonbeam will take care of that for you. Jeez, California has become a damn circus.
Is California recoverable? That remains to be seen. I just hope that the fed doesn’t reward Ca’s stupidity with additional funding.
BAD BRAD
120 years ago an Irishman with 2 years of schooling (could read barely) talked the NoCal folks into selling the SoCal folk xxx, xxx, xxx cubic feet of water for less than a mil ($0.0001) per 1,000 cubic feet.
70 years ago my NoCal relatives hated him. My SoCal relatives loved him. As did Hollywood. There would be not Hollywood with out the “Aquaduct” This “self proclaimed” “engineer is one of the heroes in Chinatown. As ;I said with out Mullholand there would never have been a Hollywood.
But the fact are still true.
NoCal willingly sold the water. Mullholland did not puta knife to anyone’s throat! Like a lot of Irishmen he had “the Gift of Gab” and may have flip flamed NOCal. But NoCal has no one to blame BUT NOCAL
Yeah, shower only when necessary, wash your hair twice a month, if it’s yellow, let it mellow… All insanity coming out of the leftist environmental loons lately.
No thanks.
Also, don’t they forbid you from collecting rain water?
Stupid California, call Israel. They will help you with industrial scale desalination.
Call Arizona, we will show you how to build a dam and ‘reserve’ water and make power with gravity.
Judging from the smelly, stringy-haired libtards who never seem to wash their clothes, use deodorant, wash their cars or water anything in their yards around here where I live, they will be the least affected by this. 😷
California cant provide it’s own people with adequate water, mostly because it’s had more important things to do in the last 50 years than worry about water storage. Like ensuring that a psychotic 30 year old man can take a shit in the same bathroom as our grand daughters.
Which is why they should be allowed to nullify federal laws and interfere in the governance of other states. One day, when I’ve grown up, I’ll see the wisdom in all this
