A British family found something unusual washed up on a Welsh beach.
They thought it was a “beach buoy” and pose for all kinds of pictures with the artifact.
It wasn’t a buoy.
That will be a vacation long remembered by the Gravell family.

I don’t even have to click to know it’s an un-exploded WWII mine.
If you don’t study history you are doomed…
Gee whiz, I wonder if there are any more in the waters around the British Isles? (sarc) 😈
Damn.
Even the Devil has turned Progressive, going from red to blue.
Must be Eleanor’s influence on Old Scratch.
🙄
It may be a dud. The best thing to do when you think it’s a bomb, get a cutting torch and look inside.
Pounding on it with a #20 pound sledgehammer also is a good idea.
Letting children play with it is not a good idea.
But what happened to the poor barnacles? If they were all born as puppies every single one would be removed before the detonation.
Was it a bomb? It looks more like a mine, but the reporter may not know much more than the parents.
You sound like the guy here in NYC that looked for a gas leak at a high school by lighting a match.
Blew out the side of the building.
That was one of ours, from the USA.
If it had exploded they would have blamed George Bush…
They showed up on the West Coast of Ireland in the late forties and early fifties. I remember well the warnings. If you see something
floating in the bay. Stay away and notify the authorities. They were either German or British mines that broke from their moorings.. GRBoomer you got it. A bomb doesn’t float
How else would you find a gas leak?
He found it didn’t he?
Maybe The Professor can diffuse it using the enzymes in the coconut milk
Speaking of George Bush… It always amazed me that the media made a big deal of not finding Sadam’s weapons of mass destruction when we know he had them and that he hid them. We’re still finding WWII stuff today. We’ll still be finding Sadam’s stash in 2073!
One of my favorite Gilligan’s Island…
Of course any with Ginger & Mary-Ann
What was the name of that Tom Clancy book/movie where the two farmers
dug up a nuclear bomb in the desert and sold it for scrap? “A Clear an Present Danger’? “A Sum of all Fears”? I forget
“What a wonderful World.”
The Sum of All Fears.
The forward had a quote from Winston Churchill:
Do you know what you get when you put all of the generals and admirals in one room? You get the sum of their fears.
It’s just like Obama posing with today’s youth.
Ignorance is indeed bliss…
Heard about this Friday night. What they should do is airlift it to Iran and drop it. Just a friendly hello.
Unicorn fart bombs float.
Well, the genius found it.
That’s what you get when you’re looking for problems – problems.
Those are some stupid parents. You can look at the thing and tell it’s a bomb. Geez.
I don’t know anybody could think it was a “beach buoy”. I mean, It doesn’t look a thing like Carl, Dennis, Mike, Al, or Brian…
