Canada Feels Persecuted – “We Don’t Have a Single Friend in the Whole World”

Canada vows to “never forget.”

Newser-

Canada’s growing rift with the US has included tense trade talks and tit-for-tat remarks. Now the US is among countries leaving Canucks in the diplomatic cold over their spat with Saudi Arabia, the Guardian reports. “It’s up for the government of Saudi Arabia and the Canadians to work this out,” says State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert. “Both sides need to diplomatically resolve this together. We can’t do it for them.” America isn’t the only country refusing to support Canada after it called for Saudi Arabia to free arrested women’s rights activists, and the Saudi government lashed out in a rage: The UK also gave Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government a muted response.

“The Brits and the Trumpians run for cover and say ‘we’re friends with both the Saudis and the Canadians,'” tweeted Bob Rae, former leader of the Liberal Party in Canada. “Thanks for the support for human rights, guys, and we’ll remember this one for sure.” As Rachel Curran, a former official under the Stephen Harper government, tweeted: “We do not have a single friend in the whole entire world.”

  1. Maybe the PM of Canada can don Arab clothes and ride a camel while playing an oud and toking on a hookah. That should impress the Arab world with his gravitas.

  2. So much for the new leader of the free world. Canada’s White Obama can’t be the defender of a faith he doesn’t believe in.

This isn’t a war but a diplomatic row. Humbly call us back after you’ve written some cheques your asses can’t cash.

  3. Ever notice how highly the left speaks of Canada and point to them as a model of everything we’re not?
Yet with all the threats of moving there the left makes after an election they don’t like they still never do. Lets hope they reconsider, the place suits them.

  4. The thing I found most amazing about Canada when I was there (admittedly it was 35 years ago, so things may have changed) was that you could go out and walk the streets of downtown Toronto at 2 or 3 in the morning without fear of being robbed or molested.
I know because I did it, and I still don’t know how they managed that in such a large city.

Now the French province of Quebec – that was a different story.

  5. It’s not “Canada’s growing rift with the US”, it’s all on Nancy-boy. Our rift is with him. Get rid of him, Canada, and we will think about letting you back in the club (depending on who you replace him with).

  6. Canada has been Trump/US bashing since Trump won the primaries. The Arabs know Canada’s weak and acted accordingly.

Where is OUR back-up when we say we want to enforce border laws and Canada calls us racist and inhumane?

They were warned about Islam, yet they still spread their cheeks for them. Now they can enjoy the Jihadi dick.

  7. There’s 18 months until the pansy has to call an election and like the cheap dictator that he is he’ll try to hang on to every second he has. Canadians can learn a lot from the Romanians about surrounding parliament with thousands of patriots and demanding the government resign. The leader of the Conservative Party opposition should also raise a Motion of Non-Confidence in the House. They’d lose the vote but the media would have to cover why it was raised and for the first time all of this national embarrassments errors, mistakes, payoffs will be front and center in one place and at one time for everyone to view.

  8. I guess they never learned the lesson that there are consequences when you – or your government – repeatedly piss in your neighbor’s yard, spit repeatedly in his soup and sneeringly lecture him about your cultural superiority. One of those consequences can be weeping alone in the cold dark…
