Canada: Vancouver tries to strip mushroom dispensaries of business licenses

Daily Hive: Magic mushroom dispensaries are facing legal challenges from the City of Vancouver, which is taking them to court and holding public hearings to take away their business licences.

Outspoken drug legalization advocate Dana Larsen was the first to raise the alarm publicly, and a lawyer working with several mushroom dispensaries in the city says multiple psilocybin-selling businesses are having the same troubles.

“I expect the result of this is going to be a couple years in court; meanwhile, more places will open,” Larsen said. “I don’t know if they’re going to be proactive like we hope.” more here

  1. I HAVE HOPE FOR VANCOUVER

BUT…HAVING BEEN MARRIED (FOR TOO LONG) TO A VANCOUVERITE, I HAD TO ENDURE THE SOCIAL EVENTS UP THERE, WHERE I WOULD BE THE LINE AMERICAN CORNERED BY MANY ASSHOLES WHO WANTED TO CRITICIZE ANERICA

I USED TO ASK THEM “IS THIS WHAT YO DO UP HERE?? SIT ON YOUR SOUTH-FACING PORCHES AND WATCH OUR EVERY MOVE??? WHY NOT FIX YOUR OWN SHIT????!!!!”

I WAS NOT A HIT NORTH OF THE 49TH

  2. Leftists are just about beyond the absurd by this point. In fact, they see this as though one must have explicit permission to engage in a wholly legal act of commerce! Goodness, what might be the end game? Explicit permission to inhale followed quickly with permission to exhale?

  3. Meanwhile, marijuana is legal everywhere in Canada. Safe injection sites and needle vending machines are prolific in Vancouver and in British Columbia (where Vancouver is situated) has the following illegal drug personal use exemption:

“Health Canada granted an exemption under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act to the Province of B.C. This is effective from January 31, 2023 to January 31, 2026.

Under this exemption, adults (18 years and older) in B.C. are not arrested or charged for possessing small amounts of certain illegal drugs for personal use. The illegal drugs covered by the exemption are:

Opioids (such as heroin, morphine, and fentanyl)
    Crack and powder cocaine
    Methamphetamine (Meth)
    MDMA (Ecstasy)
Adults found in personal possession of any combination of these illegal drugs that adds up to a combined total of 2.5 grams or less are not subject to arrest or criminal charges and the drugs are not seized.”

  4. I live up here and have no idea what’s legal anymore.

Misgendering & Self Defense are essentially illegal, but
the rest seems to be a free for all.
