5. I’ll try to be the first. Happy Independence Day to southern cousins. Maybe someday Independence Day will mean more then a day off and a movie to the kids today. Hell, it ought to be a law just to read the Declaration of Independence each year on it’s anniversary. That and the Constitution are two of the most remarkable documents ever written by man. Anyway, Happy Birthday. Nice pics MJA.

   If you’re going to rent a movie for family entertainment tomorrow, make sure it’s “1776.” Fantastic scenes of John Adams getting into it with Thomas Jefferson, and Ben Franklin serving as peacemaker. It’s fantastic–I’d be renting it myself if I had something to play it on.
