Celebrities Sued For Promoting Nearly Worthless NFTs

Jimmy FallonGwyneth Paltrow and Justin Bieber have been sued in a proposed class action accusing them and a host of other celebrities who promoted Bored Ape Yacht Club non-fungible tokens of fraud.

The suit claims the celebrities misled their followers into buying BAYC NFTs, among other unregistered securities issued by Yuga Labs, to pump up their value, causing buyers to purchase “losing investments at drastically inflated prices.” More

  1. How friggin’ stupid do you have to be if Gweneth Paltrow talked you into investing in anything? I have no sympathy for the victims, but I appreciate any law suit that seeks to separate these dirt bags from their money.

  2. The principal goes back to th ‘80’s when Pat and Debbie Boone pushed some bogus product. The courts said that if you are a celebrity and use your fame to push a product, you are just as liable as the perpetrators of the scan.
