Earlier this year Keith Emerson took his own life after a long bout of depression. Now Greg Lake dies of cancer.

  1. April 1974, CalJam. Keith Emerson 20 feet above the stage, playing a grand piano while it rotated, awesome. Having played classic in school and rock for fun, I admired how ELP was able to join the two.
    And then there was one.
    RIP

  2. I had hair that long when I was in my late teens. My wife who is 12 years younger laughs every time she see’s photos of me from that time period. She met me when I had really short hair. Used to really like ELP. Now I rarely listen to music.

  3. I was not a very big fan but do acknowledge the unique talent of those guys. I liked many of their songs, just not my style. He was a great musician and will be missed.
    Rest in Peace.

  4. I’ve always enjoyed elp and king crimson, but I never found myself overly attached to the band members (or so I thought)
I cried quite a bit this morning after finding out, very shocked @ his sudden passing. God rest Greg Lake’s soul. 🙁
