It’s a bad year for Emerson, Lake and Palmer fans.
Earlier this year Keith Emerson took his own life after a long bout of depression. Now Greg Lake dies of cancer.

Enjoyed his work.

Dang, one of the good ones
Your supposed to die when you get older. I would have fallen apart if they had died in the
60’s or 70’s.
What a lucky man he was
April 1974, CalJam. Keith Emerson 20 feet above the stage, playing a grand piano while it rotated, awesome. Having played classic in school and rock for fun, I admired how ELP was able to join the two.
And then there was one.
RIP
Still you turn me on….
He will be missed! ELP and Greg Lake were awesome. Great tunes, from my wild and misspent youth.
Wow, a rock star and a space man died on the same day. Could David Bowie be next?
No, wait…
Palmer must be shitting bricks.
as a budding and horrible keyboard player, Fanfare for the common man was my favorite.
Always really loved his acoustic stuff and his great voice.
I had hair that long when I was in my late teens. My wife who is 12 years younger laughs every time she see’s photos of me from that time period. She met me when I had really short hair. Used to really like ELP. Now I rarely listen to music.
Greg now joins Cozy Powell as well.

😔
I was not a very big fan but do acknowledge the unique talent of those guys. I liked many of their songs, just not my style. He was a great musician and will be missed.
Rest in Peace.
At least he doesn’t have to have that brain salad surgery now. RIP.
Always loved Emerson, Lake and Palmer. my all time favorite being From the beginning.RIP
I have a couple Emerson, Lake and Palmer records. Loved their stuff. Lake had an awesome voice.
RIP
Wow, forgot all about ELP. The music brings back long lost memories. Rest well Mr. Lake and thank you.
I’ve always enjoyed elp and king crimson, but I never found myself overly attached to the band members (or so I thought)
I cried quite a bit this morning after finding out, very shocked @ his sudden passing. God rest Greg Lake’s soul. 🙁
