Wow. Lots of mixed feelings about this. Creepy shades of plantation upbringing. The nanny is even made-up like a mammy. Yet, emotionally kind of endearing. https://youtu.be/3X4A9mI5bxw?feature=shared
Clearly, the super cute little girl is talented and trained by her nanny since she was a toddler. Her parents may be OK with it. Still it’s disturbing someone other than a parent has this much influence over a child. Hope this is as innocent as presented.
Sorry to be negative, but this is also how grooming for nefarious purposes is implemented.
Parents need to be more careful who they let into their children’s lives.

She sings from the diaphragm. Nice.

She takes lessons and has a stage mother.
Aretha was a natural talent

Never mind all that.
It’s the JOY!

Cheryl Porter is a classically trained opera singer who discovered she likes jazz too.
She is a vocal coach and helps aspiring singers learn to use their voice without damaging it.
She was also in the stage production of Lion King, and had bright costuming.
When she was working at getting/expanding her own business, people didn’t recognize her without her bandana.
So, she continues to wear the bandana and bright colors..She appears to have been inspired by Lisa Frank.
The bright colors keep her clients mood elevated when they are working on difficult pieces.
She has a video out there that I watched quite awhile ago, showing her working with a young person with Down Syndrome and another where a young hearing impaired girl finally got her hearing device and was learning to for words to sing.

I’d be more impressed if the little white girl taught Aunt Jemima how to act like a cultured woman. But that’s just me.

The little cutie is awesome. Yes, the so-called voice coach has done a great job.
However, the voice coach’s mammy shtick is stereotypical, distracting, egotistical and annoying. Not all branding is good branding.
Everyone expressing embarrassment at perceived black stereotypes, is that “White savior complex” surfacing?

The girl is already better than that auto-tune train wreck they call Taylor Swift.

Well, I’m black and don’t have any Savior complex of any kind. Just tired of black liberals virtue signaling by embracing stereotypical garbage.
The left is constantly screaming about rascism, yet there are hypocritical black progressive liberals embracing the mammy stereotype in an attempt to “take control” over the imagery. A ridiculous endeavor.
The mammy is not a benevolent character. It was created by white Southerners to deter white men from finding black women attractive.
Why black women today think it’s admirable to buy into this leftist racist propaganda is ignorant.
If black liberal women had any real pride it would not include personal adaptations of a demeaning, negative racist creation designed to make them seem undesirable and even less tha human.
They’re both good!
