A most underrated group. I have a couple of their albums here somewhere.
Super fun!!
The Rhythm Kings have provided some pretty good stuff over the years, this ISIS great.
Love this!
Fun. I liked the saxophone choreography. A little more Albert Lee would have been nice.
There ain’t nothin’ better than Boogie Woogie on a Saturday night!
That auto fill and auto correct is a plague
JDHasty, I know, right?
Great music – love it!
Wow, what fun! Couldn’t stop my feet from tapping!
Billy Fuster, I’ve always had a thing for the saxophone. Such a rich, full tone. Fell in love with them during early Chicago’s music.
Think I’ll play this again! Jimmy, let’s Boogie Woogie together long distance! Snazzy!
You got it, Claudia! You go first! 🙂
(I was listening to some Haydn just now, but I can get back in the mood…)
Jimmy, I was listening to Dean Martin before reading this post!

Boogie woogie is like Cajun music (I don’t care what you say but I do like accordions and concertinas and swinging pianos) and Celtic music and bluegrass and Western swing, if you can’t up and dance to it you don’t have a musical bone in your body. I can’t dance worth beans but good music like this makes me want to get up and dance and make a fool out of myself, it’s happy music with a kick of toe tapping magic.
Magic. That’s it, geoff the aardvark. It’s way down in your soul and it just has to come out!

Scene from the movie, “Legend of 1900.” It’s a treat and a half.
Jimmy, Holy WOW. I forgot to breathe! I’m sure my face looked like those of the audience.
Here’s one I adore. The guy makes such beautiful love to his saxophone.

Sigh.
Very nice! Haven’t heard that piece in a long time.
So much music to listen to. So little time…
Claudia: Notice the Big Fur Hats at 3:44, 4:15 and 5:00
Cynic, Fur posted this video quite some time ago! I loved it so much, it’s in my playlist.
Jimmy, I know about the time thing! Gotta get off the internet now and get my reading done before I turn in. Here are a few to keep you entertained for later:

Good night!
Thanks, Claudia! Here’s a little something for your Sunday festivities by Howard Hanson. It’s one of my favorite 20th Century symphonies (3rd Movement only here):
