Church moves to block public release of trans shooter’s manifesto

Blaze

Over the weekend, the Covenant Presbyterian Church and associated Covenant School filed a motion to block the public release of the manifesto of the transgender shooter who attacked the school, court documents revealed.

On March 27, a 28-year-old female opened fire at the Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, killing three children and three adult staff members before being fatally shot by police.

Inside the attacker’s home, authorities located the shooter’s manifesto, which included a map of the school and other writings. Police reported that the shooter had spent months planning the attack.

In late April, the Metro Nashville Police Department stated that it was reviewing the manifesto for public release. However, shortly after the announcement, the department reported that its attorneys advised the department to withhold the materials amid a pair of lawsuits.

The lawsuits, filed by the Tennessee Firearms Association and the Nashville Police Association, demanded the public release of the attacker’s writings and police communications regarding the manifesto. read more

  1. So what REALLY went on at that school that they don’t want anyone to know about? Not in any way justifying her actions, but disturbing that the church is working to block the release.

  2. I bet it’s more than “convincing” that happened. We know evil can hide in the church, just like it hides in congress.
It doesn’t make the church guilty, but the administration should be investigated.
Watch the top administration to get promoted, somewhere out of reach.

  3. Well, if the church was trying to quash any speculation, rumors or “conspiracy theories”, they failed spectacularly. No, they are hiding something, but they just gave the court the excuse they needed to do what the FBI wants.

  4. I’m guessing because of the lawsuit from them and FedLEO not wanting to spill the beans, The “church” they be very very woke and it comes back and bites them big time?

  5. The Streisand effect is an unintended consequence of attempts to hide, remove, or censor information, where it instead leads to increased awareness of that information. It is named after American singer and actress Barbra Streisand, whose attempt to suppress the California Coastal Records Project’s photograph of her cliff-top residence in Malibu, California, taken to document California coastal erosion, inadvertently drew greater attention to the photograph in 2003.[1]

Attempts to suppress information are often made through cease-and-desist letters, but instead of being suppressed, the information receives extensive publicity, as well as media extensions such as videos and spoof songs, which can be mirrored on the Internet or distributed on file-sharing networks.[2][3] In addition, seeking or obtaining an injunction to prohibit something from being published or remove something that is already published can lead to increased publicity of the published work.

The Streisand effect is an example of psychological reactance, wherein once people are aware that some information is being kept from them, they are significantly more motivated to get and spread it.[4]

  6. Then again I’m confident that a little birdie from the Biden malAdministration’s Department of Education landed on their shoulder and whispered something about federal money they are currently receiving.

  7. My Dad taught me about lies when I was a kid. He used an image to protect me and my soul. Every day you make a meal with your actions that you eat at the end of the day as you reflect and say your prayers. Every lie you tell, including omission-the most common way to lie, is a pinch of pasture patty on your meal. How much s*** can you eat without it making you sick?!?
Sure appears as if this school is covering up something beyond the shooters manifesto.
We’ve been fed so much s*** from the feds, it’s no wonder our society is so sick.

  8. who here has a manifesto?
do you have an every day manifesto and a special occasion manifesto?
is there a web site with generic boiler plate manifestos, that you can personalize?
have you ever read a manifesto?
would you talk to a person who has a manifrdto twice?

I have a monofesto. I have only one thing to say to the world. I won’t repeat it her, but it ens with the words “…and the horse you rode in on!”

  9. First, let me say that I am a Christian. I have been(?) both Catholic and Protestant in my quest to be a better person. I have seen both the positive and the negative in both, as well as various branches.
If you need to block something for your religion, then you are missing something. You should be able to present a coherent argument as to why something is wrong.
