  1. I’ve been watching old Hitchcock shows on Peacock. She was in some of those.
    Speaking of Hitchcock, one of his frequent actors (also producer and director) on a lot of his shows, Norman Lloyd (als former actor on St. Elswhere) is still living. He turned 106 in November.

  2. Cloris Leachman was one of the most prolific, talented actresses in Hollywood. She was great in serious roles as well as comedic. She seemed to be naturally a happy and funny person.

    A character she really nailed was in an episode of Night Gallery,
    “You Can’t Get Help Like That Anymore”;

    She was great in the role. May she be at peace.

  3. I saw The Last Picture Show in 1972. I couldn’t tell you a thing about it. Didn’t drink or smoke weed.
    It was just boring. I don’t remember any of it.

    This is my second movie challenge of the day which I saw, but left no impression.
    First movie challenge? The Natural. I don’t remember anything about that movie either. Simply not memorable.

  4. Know I’ll probably get grief, but couldn’t get into her as an actress. Hey, you got you’re taste and I got mine, but still, RIP Cloris. Thoughts and prayers to the family she’s still a child of God. 🕊️❤️🙏

  5. I first saw The Last Picture Show on my first weekend after I graduated from Navy Bootcamp in late November of 1972 at the Spreckle’s Theater in downtown San Diego. The biggest thing I remember about it was the soundtrack with Hank Williams singing Why Don’t You Love Me Like You Used To Do and going to Jack In The Box for the first time and falling in love with eating Jumbo Jacks and 2 for a buck tacos. I still like Hank Williams and Jack In The Box but I found the movie to depressing and haven’t seen it since.

  6. @Anonymous – Norman Lloyd is a neighbor of Ed O’Neill, he had him on an episode of Modern Family in the first season. He was a ‘mall walker’ and was chasing women. Ed mentioned him to Judd Apatow, who was a huge fan and put him in a very funny role in Trainwreck (about the only good part of that movie – Norman and Colin Quinn going at it). As of a couple of years ago he was as cantankerous as ever. He thought the lead role in Nebraska should have been his.

  7. A great actress. If she had a role in a movie or TV show, I tried to watch it. I did not know her politics. That was a time when politics were private. Thank God. If she was an atheist, I think God will still take her to Heaven. We must remember God loves all. Mass murderers, Hitler, Stalin, and so on get Hell for their final destination.
