My first guess was a few dipshit liberal youths had bought themselves MAGA hats and were misbehaving in order to further the media narrative (Trump BAD, his supporters BAD). Ha. You can be a “Viet Nam Era Veteran” without ever having been in Viet Nam. The Viet Nam Era officially ended in August, 1975. I joined the USAF in November, 1973 and went to England to serve with USAFE (United States Air Forces in Europe) during the Cold War and then on to SAC Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. Officially, I’m a Viet Nam Era Veteran but I have never once claimed to be one because it is confusing to others and I think it is disrespectful to real Viet Nam veterans who served in Viet Nam. This guy could have been serving as a cook at some military installation in New Jersey during his whole enlistment as that would make him a veteran, but he should never claim to be a Viet Nam veteran if he did’nt serve meals in Viet Nam.

The msm was stating he is a ‘Vietnam veteran’, but he himself inserted the word ‘times’ into his self description. If he did not serve there, he should not have others stating that he did. My suspicion is that he did not. And that wouldn’t necessarily be his fault- the msm pushed it, and he was probably unable to to insert the truth. msm doesn’t work that way. When msm wants to sell something, they will tell anything.
While I was never enlisted, I have worked for both the Army and Navy, and I do thank you for your service. I certainly don’t wish to stir up a hornet’s nest. I just wanted to point out what appeared to me to be another inconsistency presented by msm.
