CNN shocker: Jake Tapper does a great job grilling DNC chair Tom Perez

AT: Has CNN suddenly pulled the plug on its losing gamble of trying to be the anti-Trump network?  Or is Jake Tapper putting together a new demo tape hoping for an offer from Fox News?

The cable news pioneer has languished at the bottom of the three-way competition, and its foray into 24-7 hating on Trump has made matters worse, with the chant “CNN sucks, CNN sucks!” driving home the point that the network has failed.

Yesterday, Jake Tapper of CNN behaved most uncharacteristically for a CNN interviewer of this day and age, aggressively questioning and confronting DNC chair Tom Perez on the Sunday morning interview show State of the Nation.  Listen to the two segments below with your eyes closed, and you could imagine that this was a Fox News interviewer.  But don’t do it!  Watch, instead, the looks on Perez’s face:

  2. Tapper is posturing. He also still let Perez spout lie after lie after lie, uncorrected on the facts — pretty much everything that came out of his mouth:

E.g. Under Trump, Medicare is -NOT- at risk, whereas it -IS- at risk under the Dems’ “medicare for all” proposal.

E.g. Under Trump, Democrats’ claim that “preexisting conditions are at risk” is a lie.

E.g. -ONLY- Trump ever has tackled pharmaceutical pricing. Americans pay top dollar while globalist companies sell the same drugs to others cheaper all over the world. They get away with it because of third-party payments subsidized by the taxpayers and passively allowed by consumer and bureaucratic indifference or corruption in Medicare, medicaid and insurance companies under Obamacare.)

E.g. Contrary to Perez’s assertion, inflation for consumer prices is -NOT- beating out wage and job growth.

E.g. Perez made a brouhaha of people having to work “multiple jobs”, which is false in the Trump economy. Multiple part-time service jobs are what increased under Obama post-Obamacare (and also are only speciously considered to be “job growth” because two of these do not equate to one good full-time job lost.)

E.g. Tapper asserted “wage growth is lagging”. No it’s not; it necessarily follows job growth in the absence of higher inflation. The implicit complaint (workers are still hurting) also doesn’t consider big income tax cuts and raised childcare credit under the Trump administration.

Is a Democrat politician talking? Then you’re hearing lies.

  3. I heard some clips from this Tapper-Perez interview.
I couldn’t believe the pointed questions Tapper had.
You NEVER hear Democrats get questioned like that.
    Was it Halloween?
Was Tapper pretending to be a real journalist?

  4. I have always thought that Jake is very unhappy with his liberal position, to the point that it is affecting his health. I think he would be much happier, more energetic and get rid of the gaunt look he has developed, if he were on a news program that is more truthful.
Tucker Carlson spent several years as a liberal broadcaster and he hated it but did it because he had a burning desire to be a newscaster, before he was able to get on FOX.
I think Tapper and other liberal newscasters are the same.
They just don’t believe in or love what they are doing.
Send a thank you note or post some supportive comments on Jake’s site and his twitter……………..and see what happens.
