Breitbart-
A massive backlash against Coca-Cola sparked after the Georgia-based company’s CEO, James Quincey, said the recently-passed Georgia voting laws aimed at improving state election integrity are “unacceptable,” “wrong,” and “a step backward.”
Quincey, who joined the Coca-Cola company in 1996, appeared on CNBC on Wednesday criticizing the new legislation and stating that “we will continue to advocate” against the new laws “both in private and … public.” Many took to Twitter to voice their discontent with his statements.
NO COKE. PEPSI !
I better go beat the rush, & stock up on Mountain Dew!!!
Someone noted recently that every company that is virtue-signaling was losing money or at least market share prior to their virtue-signaling. That they are making a desperate stab at reinvigorating sales. Of course it clearly has the opposite effect, as it alienates a large portion of their customer base and couldn’t possibly make up the difference in increased sales to those who support their political actions. Smartest thing any company, any celebrity can do is to stay out of it. To choose to enter the fray is to choose a reduction in revenue.
Scott Adams knew that when he simply spoke positively of Trump’s methods way back in 2015 – he lost huge revenue streams, but was in a financial position that he was okay with it. Taylor Swift probably didn’t realize it, when after years of impartiality she finally came out full leftist. Companies with shareholders don’t have that luxury.
BTW Pepsi committed ten$ of million$ to BLM programs.
RC Cola!
New ad campaign: Things go better without Coke!
LCD – better yet, kick the soda habit altogether.
You’ll be amazed; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Coca-Cola_brands
The reason boycotts don’t work is because not enough people are aware of what’s going on or just don’t care.
I’ll just stick with whiskey on the rocks.
These companies who were never Trumpers and who are jumping on the sjw bandwagon all do business with China and are completely silent on their long history and current behavior in human rights violations.
Libidiots.
Just buy no name cola.
Is Shasta cola still a thing? Don’t see it on sale anywhere.
Ale8 caffeinated ginger ale!
No more Coke.
I drink 7-Up even though it is distributed by Pepsi. Pepsi has its own lemon-lime (Sierra Mist) which tastes like flavoured water to me.
Pepsi stepped in it about ten or so years ago when the CEO made some asinine statement.
I wonder if these companies realize that many of the “disadvantaged” people who buy their products buy them with welfare related money that is supported by tax dollars. In other words, the companies are helping pay for their own products.
They still sell Shasta here in the PNW, Winco has an abundant supply of it. I like the cream soda myself and it’s cheap usually selling for under a dollar for a 2 liter bottle, my personal favorite is their raspberry cream soda with a 12 pack selling for under 3 bucks. But I also like RC the best as far as colas go and Mt. Dew just because. But I don’t usually drink a lot of pop except on occasion and mainly during the Summer. I also like ginger beer.
I said FUCK COKE 6 days ago and went cold turkey on the coke zero, I’ve already lost 3 pounds.
My wife hated me calling it pop because she always said soda instead.
@No Momma Obama
I went Wild Turkey on the rocks.
When I drink soda, it’s usually Dr. Pepper or his tard brother Mr. Pibb, but I’ve laid off of soda. Although it’s not the real south (Florida), I drink the southern drink of choice…sweet tea. I even male Earl Grey sweet tea (avoids tomatoes being tossed at me).
We never called any beverage pop, soda, or soda pop.
I don’t think I’ve ever uttered those words in that context.
It was always “soft-drink” or “coke”
I don’t drink soda at all anymore, but back when I did I always preferred Jolt when I could find it.
Ya know what really is “unacceptable,” “wrong,” and “a step backward.”?
coof passports. I bet coke supports that though.
clown world.
PT needs to get off the diet pop anyway–its not good for you!
Just remember to look at the label on any water, soda, juice or juice drinks you intend to purchase. If it says “Product Of Coca-Cola Company”, leave it on the floor.
@KT – “…Just buy no name cola…”
The problem with that tactic is that most, if not all, no-name products are produced by big-name corporations.
geoff the aardvark: “They still sell Shasta here in the PNW, Winco has an abundant supply of it.”
Got it — thanks. I haven’t shopped at Winco in ages — not a lot of them in my area. There are two of them in Salem, but I avoid Salem as much as possible. Brown seems determined to turn Salem into some hellish dystopian wasteland, kinda like Portland, only smaller.
All these smart CEOs bought off by China and the left sure can be stupid.
Looks like the world is rapidly devolving into the great cancel wars of the sniveling twenties?
I wonder if they’ll be able to tell their children in the future what used to be available without breaking some law?
Drink Dr. Browns sodas. The best!
