Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh…. good morning Claudia and iOTWrs… Very nice. Thank you.
Claudia’s breath of Fresh Air!
A really nice respite from the chaos of Humans in the news lately!!
It’s always amazed me how quickly animals grow up.
Awwwww.
Last weekend a deer birthed a fawn in my front yard. I found it a few hours later and it was still damp from the amniotic fluid.
I should have sent a photo to Claudia.
Oh!
It’s Sunday!
Thanks, Claudia!

I see a bunch of mallards, along with a bufflehead and a redhead to the left.
@Brad – Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
Now this here’s Diversity. 😀
Thanks Claudia!

C’mon Rick…start the engine and let’s go!
It seems our Red Shouldered Hawks have not fledged any chicks this year.
The female did buzz me the other day while I was standing in the front yard, so close I could’ve touched her. She didn’t make a sound. All I felt was a blast of air and a view of her feathered empennage during her departure.
Here’s a (bad) shot of her: https://imgur.com/8t09oHj
Great pics everyone! Thanks Claudia
WDS, cool picture! We have hawks, but they don’t come THAT close!
Looked out the window a few nights ago to see a fox and a racoon sitting side by side eating leftover cat food on the deck.
I’ve seen the fox again, so we’re keeping the camera handy.
one of our hawks lost their spouse last year. It still hunts around here, including in my back yard. Wish I could take it to the new place in Carolina.
Claudia,
She’s buzzed me numerous times, like it’s some kinda game with her to show me what she’s capable of. One time she was so close I could smell her. The pair both “announce” when arriving on the property. “We’re here! We’re here! Feel free to use that pic if you like. One time she was sitting on the arm to that DirecTV dish and the signal kept winking in and out. I had to go outside and convince her to move.
As Angus’ dad I have made a bargain with him that Mrs. Lazlo does not find necessary or wise.
He’s a big hairy dog and he needs bathing.
My bargain with Angus is that if we both have to have baths, at least we get to go Swimmin’ first!
WDS, will do!!
Evenin’ everyone…the ship was travelin’ with the crew up into central and coastal CT, beautiful areas. And will have some pics to send contribute as a result! Hawks egrets, cormorants, good stuff.
Great pics everyone, @forcibly rearranged,Kilo, the natural strikes again!
@Poor Lazlo -Angus looks like he is swimming in applesauce??
@Anymouse- between your front door window view and this window, my goodness. On the way home today, I saw one of those on the side of the I-95 in the emergency shoulder lane…yeah no longer with us…:>( I recognized those exact spots of a fawn.
BTW, I reached out to @BFH about your e-mail, to share some pics, but I did not here back so I’ll try again!!
I got lucky with that beetle, he looked kinda shiny and had this blue reflectiveness to him.
Thanks C!
