To armchair movie critics who complained that Brian Cranston was cast as a quadriplegic: “That’s literally like watching a movie, ‘Why didn’t you have a murderer play a murderer? And how come the guy he shot, I saw him in another movie?’”
To white feminists who want to separate themselves from white male privilege: “It’s like, bitch, you’re sitting in the Jacuzzi with me!”
(When Burr began, “Someday there’s gonna be the first woman president,” the audience started to cheer, and he responded, “You don’t even know what her f–king platform is, and you automatically cheer!”)
On the backward trajectory of the #MeToo movement: “The stories were big in the beginning,” he said, “and then they just started tapering off. About six months in they just sounded like bad dates. It was like, ‘He was 10 minutes late, the chicken was cold, I think I was raped,’ career over!”
On the mantra “believe women”: “It went from men not listening to women at all, to just this total overcorrection that anything they f–king said means it happened. They’ve got these hashtags like, ‘believe women.’ … What about the psychos? … How about you believe, like, 88%?”
The only purpose of #metoo was to attack Trump, and then Kavanaugh. All the Dems caught up in it were unintentional. Al Franken was the big sacrifice to show they really meant it, but once they saw that they couldn’t control Trump that way they gave up. They care nothing about #metoo, absolutely nothing. I had a small hope that some good would come of it but none has. Arm yourselves, women.
“I’m against rape as long as it’s someone else doing it.”
MCGA! Make comedy great again!
I don’t care if comedians poke fun at conservatives, just get the facts straight about it and then it’s comedy, not just mean-spirited echos from CNN.
I just read (here?) the other day that the inability to find humor or laugh at oneself is actually a symptom of mental insufficiency. True story.
AA-
I find myself, all the time, saying “okay, that’s friggin clever.” Or, “that’s funny right there,” even when it’s at the expense of the right.
You know why?
I’m not mentally unstable.

Are you sure of that?
As far as BFH knows – bfh
AA, Fur, see, that’s the thing. We can laugh at ourselves. The left is incapable of even the mere thought that they can be mocked. That’s why it’s so fun and ‘triggering’ to meme them!
Edit: Anymouse, Fur is a Very Stable Genius, don’cha know?!
Comedians are tired of having to watch what they say. That has never been a group of people that liked to do that. Now they are revolting.
Years ago Al Capp would be satirically critical of conservatives in Li’l Abner.. Liberals ate it up. When he started doing the same thing against liberals then they though he had lost his touch and wasn’t any good anymore.
Most of the things the libs say sound like comedy to me.
Comedians are getting tired of being careful about what they say. That is not something they have ever wanted to do.
Years ago in “Li’l Abner,” Al Capp used to be satirically critical of conservatives. Liberals ate it up. But when he started to do the same thing to liberals then they thought Capp had lost his edge and wasn’t good anymore.
In addition to Ron WHite, I will add Bill Burr to my list of comedians I want to see live in concert.
Already seen Bill Engvall, Rodney Dangerfield, Slappy White, Tim Conway, Shecky Greene
Fur, yeah, I love a good gut laugh — I don’t care who or what the target is. It’s a major flaw and deficit for the Left. But the Left is so filled with their own superiority, they simply don’t think there is anything about themselves to laugh at. They just don’t get it. But that’s what happens when you think Shakespeare is just a “dead, white guy.”
And Conservatives know how to “laugh all the way to the bank.”
Hehehehe.

Shecky Greene
Holy crap! How old are you? I caught him at “Mr. Kelly’s” (Chicago) in the late sixties.
Hopefully this means Burr is back to his old pre-married self. He became kind of careful and not as acerbic after he got married.
Agreed. His wife YOKO ONOed him.
A positive trend. Maybe.
Anymouse – take a guess. I’m pretty sure that BFH knows my age.
Looks like I have another comedy special to watch. Yay?
The severe lack of self awareness that the left has is prime stand up material. They don’t want to be made fun of? Then stop being so friggin ridiculous (even then though no guarantees ;b)
I’m thinking: Invest large in Streisand-effect comedy. It’s lit and the fire is only going to get bigger the louder they squeal.
All the p***ing and moaning will be both icing and future material.
This has potential. The left would have to lay off to avoid these Chinese finger cuffs. Go ahead. Try whining and screaming harder. It’s only going to get tighter.
