Pretty disappointing. I always felt Gaffigan was entertaining, but it’s difficult to be entertained by a guy who has disdain for anyone who doesn’t share his political view.
What’s most tragic, though, is that he’s chosen to cause this self-inflicted wound to his career while sounding like an ignoramus.
The thoughts he was compelled to share on Twitter sound awfully generic with no examples to back up his assertions.

I have enjoyed your stand-up for years but now I find I must part ways with you. Comedy is subjective and certainly there are comedians who base their comedy on politics but as far as I can recall, they did not deliberate alienate their income providers, ie: fans.
While I am sure you have worked hard for many years to get to where you are now, I simply do not understand your callous behavior; honestly, I thought it was your wife who had the brain tumor.
In closing, I wish you good luck in your career; however, please do to be surprised to find yourself playing smaller room than those you previously “entertained”.
I used to be a fan. We went to a show about 5 yrs ago and laughed so hard our stomachs hurt.
His last 2 specials on Prime he was bashing Trump. The newest one killed it for me. He was in Canada bad mouthing POTUS.

It’s too bad. I enjoyed his tv show that was on two-three years ago. He seemed like a down-to-earth kind of guy, which I appreciated.
