Congress Does the Continuing Resolution “Two-Step”

Washington Examiner

Despite staunch conservative opposition, the House passed Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) two-step continuing resolution to keep the government funded just days before the shutdown deadline, sending it over to the Senate, which is expected to pass the bill.

  1. THE GRAPHIC FOR THIS POST REMINDS ME OF “PULL MY FINGER”, A MUCH MORE PRODUCTIVE CONGRESSIONAL GAME THAN ANY OTHER BEING PLAYED IN OUR ACTUAL “CONGRESS”

  2. C____suckers had no problem voting themselves a 36k raise, though-I really hate these bastards.
My only satisfaction is when they send emails begging for my money and I reply with a message that I hope makes their computer burst into flames.

  3. Fake news, Chum. They didn’t “vote themselves” a raise. No, that would be unseemly and unethical. Instead, they changed the rules so they can be reimbursed for living expenses while working in DC.

Remember, everything must be done “by the book” and “we are a nation of laws.”
