Never been to cop school, but I think the right move would have been to empty your weapon after the first “stop the car” warning was ignored.

Cops who climb onto the hood of cars to keep them from driving away are abject morons. Any violence they commit as a result of that piss poor choice they should be held legally accountable for. Unless you KNOW for certain the driver has committed some heinous evil crime it’s JUST A TRAFFIC STOP. You don’t escalate to the possible need for deadly force for a simple traffic stop. He’s NOT going to outrun your radio.
