“COPS” The Series, Canceled

Breitbart

Whatcha gonna do when the woke mob comes for you?

Cops — the long-running reality series following police officers on high-speed chases, drug busts, and other dangerous missions — has been cancelled after a more than 30-year run as anti-police sentiment continues to sweep through Hollywood following last month’s death of George Floyd while in Minneapolis police custody. 1. If you ever wondered how the German people were overcome by the Nazis you are now living it. Soros and the Dems are running the Joseph Goebbles playbook step by step. These monsters need to be eradicated.

  2. Best exchange I ever heard on COPS:

“You’re under arrest for possession of cocaine.”
    “That’s not my cocaine.”
“We found it in your pants!”
    “These ain’t my pants!”

    Cops was on 24 Hours a Day…That’s all they watched….@ 102 Decibels.

The Network is cutting Their Nose off to spite Their Face.

  4. The last watchable cop show was “NYPD Blue”.

Although I don’t fall into their target demographic, I think some of the appeals of these shows is that the bad guys get their ass kicked in the end, that, and the comedic value, your typical criminal is just too stupid to live.

  5. …so, I guess they’re canncelling both Will Smith “Bad Boys” movies too?

…I mean, Black cops just confuse the issue, and they DO use the same song n’ all…

  6. The country really has lost it’s mind. 🤯

My Dad used to tell me that there would be a Civil War in this country, maybe not in his lifetime. Well Dad we’re getting closer to that reality more and more. 😢

I think of my Mom and Dad everyday, I thank God that they are in a better place, and they don’t have to witness what’s happening to their beloved country. 🇺🇸

  7. I think Cops has shown just about everything there was to show. Funny how the producers have said they did everything they could to hold down the number of black offenders shown.

Live PD is also on thin ice, but I really don’t think that show did police any favors. Some of the officers were good, but it got old rather quickly when some officers would pull somebody over then, without probable cause for a search, would make the person wait until a canine officer could get there to do a walk around. From what I have read, they can’t do that. There was one woman who was pulled over three times in two weeks for a burned out tail light (granted, she should have gotten it fixed) and each time they made her wait for a canine officer to get there. From what I have read, case law says that — in the absence of probable cause — a traffic stop can only take as long as it takes to deal with the reason for the traffic stop. Police cannot make someone wait until a canine officer gets there.

There are also the canine officers who have their dogs sniff around the car on every traffic stop. I question if having a dog get up close and personal with a car (sniffing in wheel wells, etc) really constitutes plain sight. That would seem like a officer saying he went behind a bush and looked through a one inch gap in a curtain to look in a window claimIng “plain sight.” Many of the restrictions placed on police are there because they pushed the envelope too many times.

When I was in school I was taught that judges, DA’s, and defence attorneys all knew the reputation of officers. Officers who had a reputation for pushing things could barely state their names without being challenged.

I knew a state patrol officer. He said that another officer in his detachment went after drunk drivers with a passion. He would make three times the drunk driving arrests as anyone else. For his efforts he got about the same number of convictions as anyone else. Not same percentage — same number. You have to wonder if this reputation for being over zealous carried over into his other arrests as well.

    Rant off.

  9. There was an episode (las vegas. Of course) where they were going to arrest a midget that got drunk and started fighting people. He had a midget wrestling or midget toss gig at some club.

I didn’t watch the show often, but every time I turned it on they were in North Las Vegas, Miami-Dade, or somewhere in Detroit.

  10. The only time I’ve had to sit through this is at my daughter’s house as her hubby is a fan. Can’t say I’ll miss it. Now, if they get rid of all the “Law and Order” crap I actually will celebrate.

  11. A comment was made about blacks being under-represented on television, to which I replied, “What about BET, Cops, and Jerry Springer?”.
It wasn’t well received, humorless twats.
