Increasing Levels of Neurosis Among the “Laptop Class”

Chris Bray on Substack

Withdrawing, the laptop class was safe; going to work and circulating in the world, the working class was in danger. They were face-to-face with a deadly virus!

But my growing suspicion is that the withdrawal of high status professional groups into safety will prove to be a descent: into persistent neurosis, a prolonged habit of fearful behavior, joylessness and sustained isolation, purposelessness, family disconnection, and so on — a kind of habituation to a gilded cage. Imagine not setting foot in a supermarket for three years, and feeling like it was an accomplishment you wanted to tell people about on television. I was trying to get at this in my recent post on the politics of debilitation, and didn’t quite nail it, because I’m still working on it. We were already seeing mental health divergence on gender/race/class lines a while ago Additional

  1. I looked up when the progenitor of Social Networking, MySpace came about, and found it wa 2003.

Only took 20 years to completely destroy the future of this Nation.

  2. Every day before, during and since the Scamdemic (Brought to you by Fauci, US Govt & ChYnA) I have had to work changing Filters, Fixing Heat & Cooling while my “BETTERS” Tic Toc, worked on line, Skype, boght on Amazon & Uber Ate while criticizing Trades for “Endangering us all by not staying home for 2 weeks.”

I WILL NEVER FORGET the way they spoke about TRADES, TRUCKERS, FOOD SERVICES, & BLUE COLLARS.

    esp. GOD BLESS THE FARMERS

    NEVER FORGET!

My Creed: FUCK YOU, FIX IT YOURSELF!

Respectfully. The world was heading to SHIT well before 2003.

Clinton hiding from a Cum Stained Dress, launching a few Missiles, & the BLOWBACK in NY by the Saudi MOTHERFUCKER was a Big Turning point for me.

That was the Turning Point for me.

    Sincerely,

    Rick

“Respectfully. The world was heading to SHIT well before 2003.”

…not saying it wasn’t, but Social Media put the Cuisinart on “Puree”…

  5. Where I live I am on the border of two cultures. To my South is DC and the suburbs, where libtards and the “laptop” class live. To my North is where the “working class” live. It’s amazing and really scary to travel into libtardville and see them wonder around like zombies, wearing their masks in their cars and being terrified to be within six feet of other people. Then it’s so refreshing to travel North into the countryside, where people are living their lives, free of the covid phobia and paranoia the libtards have forced upon themselves. The further you go out into the country you recognize they have essentially ignored the covid paranoia for the entire three years.
