Cruz Makes The Case That Trump Really Doesn’t Know How To Grow the Economy

Just because Trump is a businessman it doesn’t necessarily translate into knowing how to create jobs.

It’s a valid point.

  1. I don’t like Hannity, and Cruz somehow does not make a good impression, especially with Hannity. I’ve gotten to the point that I’m not sure how believable Cruz is. Will he go forward with what he says? Sometimes I wonder if he is another Issa or Gowdy, just in a different package.

  2. There is no politician on this planet who creates a single private industry job. The only thing they can do is create conditions that are conducive to private job creation. Cruz has got a lot of nerve going after Trump on this issue.

  3. I’m lazy, so I googled Ted Cruz +business. Wiki provided the following.

At the time of his birth, Cruz’s parents had lived in Calgary for three years and were working in the oil business as owners of a seismic-data processing firm for oil drilling.

    Yay oil!

Shandong Linglong Rubber Company was found guilty of marketing versions of tires that were based on blueprints stolen by a former employee of a Florida businessman and ordered to pay $26 million to the Floridian. Cruz worked on the Chinese company’s appellant brief. The appeals court denied the appeal and affirmed the jury’s award

    Yay Guangchongdong!

  4. They should learn from the master, our current president.

Seriously though, Abigail is right – a politician ‘creates jobs’ by smoothing the path, i.e. lower taxes and minimal regulation. And in particular no government-run business.

  5. Manufacturing of what? Trinklets, baseball caps, tee shirts?
We need drilling for oil, coal, gas. We need cement plants, steel,
rebar to rebuild our roads and bridges. O I forgot that that has been promised for the last twenty years or so, but the EPA has but a halt to it. The snail darters, frogs, spotted owls, etc can’t be disturbed.
    Bring on Donald Trump, please.

  6. I always enjoy anonymous posts. Trinkets, Baseball caps. You live in Fucking Kansas don’t you? Do you have any idea the dollars involved in the Semi Conductor Capital Equipment market? Here’s a hint, it Intel HUGE. Those are the big ass assemblies that make the little chips that make anything from your cell phone to your car, to your thermostat, to your computer run. PVD. And guess what else? PVD is how solar panels are made. That my friend is what Donald J is talking about and it pure money. And we use to own it until our politicians have it away. That’s manufacturing that will sustain and grow wealth in our nation.

  7. I’ll take the guy that has to deal with government regulations, hoops to jump through, and taxes and STILL made tens of thousands of jobs over a lawyer/politician.

I buy experience and a proven success record. Cruz has neither and his taking the side of the racist terrorists in Chicongo over Trump sealed the deal of a NO VOTE for Cruz.

  8. I will take a businessman over an attorney any day. A businessman creates wealth. An attorney does not.
Time to eliminate the attorney tax with tort reform.

  9. @Dan – I know what you meant, but “a politician ‘creates jobs’ by smoothing the path, i.e. lower taxes and minimal regulation” is like the Big Weekend Sale!! Raise prices first, then ‘lower’ them for the sale. If politicians didn’t raise taxes and create the regulations in the first place, they wouldn’t have to campaign on ‘lowering and removing’.
