DAILY BEAST: OBAMA, HILLARY TOYING WITH ‘CIVIL WAR’ OVER GUN CONFISCATION

BigGovernment: On November 2, The Daily Beast pointed to recent statements from President Obama and Hillary Clinton regarding the implementation of Australian-style gun confiscation and suggested “civil war could erupt on American soil” if any administration actually tried to confiscate privately owned firearms.

The Daily Beast theoretically agreed that “confiscation on a massive scale” may be “the only way to solve American gun violence,” but they pointed out that it was not realistic and suggested Hillary risks causing irreparable divisions by talking about confiscation then mocking gun owners as conspiracy theorists waiting for “black helicopters” to come take their guns away.  more here

  1. It won’t be a ‘civil war’….it will be annihilation of those that try to do it. For each one that dies….that will be one less to try it.

that glow you will see on the horizon won’t be the sunrise….it will be small arms fire.

  2. Here’s a fun fact. Bet you a Benjamin that the folks that are able to identify the holster in the picture as Kydex are the ones that will shoot back if this gets started.

Sounds strange, I realize. But I have my reasons.

  3. The Po-Po ain’t gona do it.
As any human on this earth would surely do,
They all started to fall apart, abandon their cars,
commit suicide, stress out, quit and loot in the
aftermath of Katrina in Naw-lins.I saw this when
I spent 24 days there keeping communications
equipment running.Car 54 where are you?
    Come in Car 54……..

  4. Can only happen when they import enough third-worlders that neither know about the Second Amendment nor care about rights in general. Then they can vote the 2A out of existence.

This is the plan they’re working on right this minute.

  5. From Sig94: “Nice 1911 in that holster too.”

Got a flat main spring housing. Done that to all of mine since 1975. The humped ones make me shoot low if I don’t use the sights.

  6. Matters little. When the shooting starts, the first ones succumbing to “gun violence” will be the policy makers and order-givers: those who passed and enacted laws and promulgated regulations, those who command the enforcers, plus the fourth estate fifth columnists who have been happily doing their propaganda work for decades.

  7. Sounds like a plan to kill off a large number of conservatives, who would defend the 2A, and advocate for the rest of the US Constitution to be followed.

Thin the herd then call if off. Then vote out the 2A with the new demographics. Kill the rest of the Constitutional restrictions on government later.

  8. And if this “civil war” starts and the Democrats call in the US military, 90% of the officers, NCOs and enlisted personnel will refuse orders to make war on Americans. Instead, they’ll overthrow their politicized senior commanders and either stay neutral or side with the (government-created) rebels. Ditto the police.

I’m sure that the Regime and its Dear Leader will instead leave the military out of it and use their newly-militarized alphabet agencies (EPA, FDA, USDA, TSA, etc.). After all, the lifetime bureaucrats have the most to lose if the trough gets overturned.

  9. It’s nice to think 90% of US military forces would refuse orders to make war on Americans. But I think history tells a different story.

A lot Americans killed other Americans in the 1860s. And in 1932 Gen MacArthur and I think Eisenhower led the army troops that attacked the Bonus Army of WW I vets and their families in Washington DC. I would expect a much lower percentage of troops who would refuse orders to capture or kill other Americans.

  10. Doesn’t it make sense that 0bama and the RINO assholes are trying to let in millions of illegals? He’s going to make them take our guns. An example- In Panama, it wasn’t the Panamanians killing, mutilating, raping and beheading people who were against Noriega. He brought in Cubans from his friend, Castro and some assorted Colombians.
You won’t always get an honorable citizen to turn violent against his own, but you can always get a foreigner to do it for a bag of beans and free housing.

  11. For current and former military personnel…riddle me this… Let’s say it comes to confiscation and civil war. Do you believe the military will take up arms against citizens or stand down in defense of citizens?

  12. My time in service was 1979 to 1985. For that era, I would say no, the military would not rise against the citizenry. With the current “gay-ification” in the service branches, I’m no longer certain of that. Also bear in mind the purges of the high level brass, who would resist the whims of the traitor in chief.

  13. I vehemently disagree about the NRA writing CA off. CA gun owners are apathetic and not standing up for themselves. I’m sick of the, “let George do it,” mentality of many gun owners in this state.

Stand up, be accountable, and take a FRICKING stand. FIGHT! But no, they expect only their dues they pay to do it and no personal involvement beyond that. Those kind of 2nd amendment (supposed) proponents can KMA.

We deserve what we get from non-patriots.

  14. I agree about the apathy. If you can hold your nose long enough get on Calguns, net’s political page. It’ll blow your mind. But non the less the NRA is not sending legal councel or money for that purpose. This per a couple Calgun foundation people I met while dropping of guns in Cordelia.

  15. P.S.
I won’t send a dime to CalGuns. Brandon Combs can also KMA for rolling over time after time because the ‘court’ rules one way or another. Brand Combs needs to read the Constitution to see who has authority. (Seems like I’ve posted this on LEO boards from time to time.)

    It’s up to ‘US.’

  16. @ Charlie WalksonWater – I sure as heck hope you and TS are correct.

And I must admit that people in the 1930s and before were hard men not far removed fom the time of iron men and wooden ships.

It’s terrible that slaves were whipped, but to put it in perspective one must also recall that in the 18th and 19th century it was pretty common for a white man who was a sailor or soldier to be bound and whipped by a fellow member with a cat o nine tails as punishment for breaking the rules. Maybe men of that era were more inclined to do great harm to fellow citizens.

But we are now living in a time of madmen. Who want to bring more jihadist into the country, let men in dresses use the women’s locker room, increase the national debt till the dollars out number the stars in the universe, who want to confiscate arms from lawful citizens and only allow government employees legally possess arms, a recipe for mass killing every where it & every time it has happened, enslave the workers to support the deadbeats, and on and on. Madness.

  17. Yea. I hear you, but there’s a mutiny going on and lots of new quality people and organizations stepping up. That said color my ass gone as soon as I can. I’ll e mail you tomorrow with some info. It’s at work or I’d do it tonight.

  18. Also, there’s a couple gun stores that are part of the problem. One of them, the main one actually, half way between you and me and a bit west. The dude was. Running for Cali chapter Pres of the NRA and when that didn’t pan out he started stirring the manure. Why prod the bear?

  19. “The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” – Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 (C.J.Boyd, Ed., 1950)

George Mason said: “… to disarm the people – that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them.”
