Pamela Geller is great, I liked “Everybody Knows” best.
That is one eclectic mix! Enjoyed it very much. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Amy Winehouse selection. I guess I never really gave her a chance. Thank you Pamela!
1. Winehouse’s voice reminds me on someone else … someone better … just can’t place it at this late moment
2. nothing better than Coltrane … & Hartman’s voice is smooth as silk
3. & Cohen is a wonderful blend of Tom Waits w/ better arrangement
1, was good…
2, captivating..
3, Went back to 2 and let the loop play
About 6 tunes in now….
Back in the day I played clarinet in a klezmer band at weddings etc. the wife wanted me to DJ
some traditional klezmer music. But I don’t know how to do it.
I also like to play Polka music. Yes polka.
So if you look up klezmer music maybe someone can do it for me.
I wanted to play the flute like Jethro Tull, but that wasn’t going to happen in my parents house.
what hell is next? DJ Donald Trump?
Re: #1 – Is that a big fur hat Amy’s wearing?

No wonder it’s so hard to find a good relationship. Finding someone with similar likes in music, food, religion, and politics seems impossible.
Chris Hillman of the Byrds could play Coltrane solos on the mandolin – he’s a huge influence on my favorite bands. I like Amy’s music – is it wrong that I call her Amy Crackhouse?
Pamela is seeing a those special musical notes that look into the mystery of love. It’s crushingly sad (Amy), its what someone else said but drapes on you like honey you just can’t taste (hartman) and it’s known to everyone if you would only allow yourself to see it (Cohen). *hugs* – Happy Valentines day, Pamela.
Concrete Blonde’s version of Everybody Knows is excellent.
Amy Winehouse was an amazing talent. Why are so many of them so messed up? Janis Joplin comes to mind.
1 & 2 are some of my faves!
